@GreyKarma4 The Russians had nothing to do with the Battle of Britain. They were not in the war at this time and even when they were, it was the UK who was sending supplies to the Eastern Front. Yes, the Americans did send the UK supplies because they were completely untouched. If the UK hadn't had it's industry battered, it's questionable if they would have been able to keep up with the U.S or the U.S.S.R, which relied on heavy industry.

No mention of the wrath the RAF inflicted on Berlin, Dersden, and other Germany cities (damage as bad as London, Coventry and other cities). This is maybe because its an American film that was aimed at motivating American forces to fight in Europe, and was maybe filmed beforehand - not sure on dates.
@Bubo25 The Polish airforce was largely destroyed by the Luftwaffe whilst on the ground, leaving most of their pilots alive. The British actively saught them out as they had chronic pilot shortages. At the time it was a win/win situation for both British and Polish.

But you can't deny the fact that the Poles were so eager to fight for the RAF because it was mostly for their own survival and that of Poland, rather than for Britain. @GreyKarma4 The Russians had nothing to do with the Battle of Britain. They were not in the war at this time and even when they were, it was the UK who was sending supplies to the Eastern Front. Yes, the Americans did send the UK supplies because they were completely untouched. If the UK hadn't had it's industry battered, it's questionable if they would have been able to keep up with the U.S or the U.S.S.R, which relied on heavy industry.

Superb footage, i watched all 52mins and 55secs, it seemed to last longer than the actual events, but of course it was nothing, compared to the brave men and women who fought, lived and died through it all....... - In the world of today, we all might question what comes next...... - What we do know, is that the Spirit, - Endeavor and Greatness of Britain shall forever endure. All owed to it's people throughout the world. Bless all those who fought and died, we will always remember.

Brilliant video my friend. It's funny how we learn about ourselves. In my 20's I never thought I could ever shoot down a German plane. But last year i proved myself wrong!

It is a pity that this film does not mention that also besides Britain, a handfull but very important "few" pilots of Polish, Czechoslovak and other nations made an indispensable contribution to the fight against Nazi Germany. It was a fight of civilization against Tyranny, where the British played under the lead of the outstanding Winston Churchill the main role; but the brave pilots of Poland, Czechoslovakia and other nation were also indispensable.

@Marek640414 The English army has not won any battle in WW2 independently, all industry of the Europe grasped by Hitler worked on the third Reich, to concern to these countries Czechia and many other things of the country of the Europe.

@Marek640414 Its true many Polish fought valiently in the RAF, and other countries helped swell the ranks of the British army too- no mention of this in the film. No mention of the wrath the RAF inflicted on Berlin, Dersden, and other Germany cities (damage as bad as London, Coventry and other cities). This is maybe because its an American film that was aimed at motivating American forces to fight in Europe, and was maybe filmed beforehand - not sure on dates.

@markjrobbins Not surprising the Polish did so seeing that it was either fight with the RAF or face the gas chamber in a Nazi concentration camp.

@Bubo25 The Polish airforce was largely destroyed by the Luftwaffe whilst on the ground, leaving most of their pilots alive. The British actively saught them out as they had chronic pilot shortages. At the time it was a win/win situation for both British and Polish.

@markjrobbins Yes, I know all that. It was either fight together or we, the English, would end up a part of our ancestors' greater Germany & the Poles would end up going up the chimney, so to speak. But you can't deny the fact that the Poles were so eager to fight for the RAF because it was mostly for their own survival and that of Poland, rather than for Britain. They really had no other choice because they knew the alternative. We had the fighters & they had the desperate motive to fly them.

Did we 'choose' Churchill? Didn't we have cannon armed Hurricanes in 1940?
It is an interesting collation of clips, and yes, pure propaganda.
