This is amazing. It is so much better than all other versions that everyone else sounds shrill, empty or amateurish. Nina Simone was an extraordinary musician, and she recorded this song long before it became popular in the New Age Celtic set (who erroneously imagine that the song is Irish -- it's from Appalachia ! )

Well the song is Irish. It belongs to Christy Moor. But this is a great version no doubt. Nina sang it in a couple of different tempos, you should check it out.
