  • this was a great mix tape....... i miss LB

  • this shits sik who made tha beat?

  • BÄM this song make my day! Peace out from Germany!

  • They need to stop doing these songs where it's all about being in a relationship with a girl as a metaphor for rap music. It was kinda cool when Common Sense did it in '94, but it's been done to death since then.

  • @poet051882 : I like VA because they grind hard and they don't let that south thing stop them. Any smart dude that know there history should know that VA/NC is right on the east. LOL. Keep grinding

  • @Thelifegiver199 NC southeast , middle east? I think more VA middle east on the map from maine to FL but I feel you

  • What sample is this?

  • @Hype679 some spinners song..forget the name

  • whut up unknowns, you upped this a while back but glad you did ! ... 1 of my favorite joints from LB ... iLLmind chopped that Soul Wax perfectly for the samp. Such a real tune lyrically as well ... Tuff !!

  • @goodmood3 Illmind

  • @goodmood3 says it on the title lol illmind son

  • Brothers in NC never rap south. When Atlanta jumped off thats when everybody wanted to rap ATL Raleigh Durham was one of the biggest market in hiphop because it's a college state plus NC and VA are in the middle of the east and NY and NC and VA are like family because most of the blacks upstate came from NC or VA so to rap things up NC and VA has always had a up north style it wasn't until ATL controlled the market. I am from the City and stay in Raleigh Durham since 91.

  • You got it right on point...People sleep on North Carolina,Virginia, and D.C. ..(Comin' from a person from Raleigh and now stay in Fayetteville)

  • im witchu on that theory....nice explanation 4 real...im from VA so i know exactly what u mean.....757 here....

  • I agree i mean im a NY dude and i feel that NC and va got the best lyricists in the south NC and VA dudes got that ill flow

  • @alldayjay167 madskillz is from va and clipse etc remarkable lyricist they spit mind blowing word play especially mad skillz

  • I agree and I'm from philly

  • On hip hop websites I explain that to folks concerning N.C. hip hop, being Eastern N.C. You right I got the cross section of hip hop radio wise, but East Coast acts like WuTang/Nas reverbated more than Down South besides Outkast for me anyway. Never heard a 3-6 Mafia/UGK song till college. Little Brother takes that more East Coast rapping style being from the Triangle and Triad.

  • @Thelifegiver199 We actually have the best of both worlds. Petey Pablo had a more dirty south style while Little Bro has the east coast style.

  • @CashTheBeast The problem with that is there were people before Petey Pablo and east coast is not just New york. Virgina and North Carolina is True east.I don't know where east coast style came from there were no label. the only people back in the days that were different was FLORIDA and really Atlanta didn't have a style they took Florida and Memphis Style. The South East was heavily influenced by NY culture because of family. "The upper south is DE.MD DC. Read THE Civil War North vs The South

  • @Thelifegiver199 I agree str8 from VA. These people don't want to accept it but these areas are rocking harder than NY these days.

  • @Thelifegiver199 I call it the middle east. That's what alot of us here in VA call it.

  • REAL HIP-HOP!

  • And i cant...

  • And THEESE niggaz r froum the SOUTH!!!! lil wayne n other bitches PLEASE take notes! this shit feel good and its so iLL!!!

  • they gotta get back together and keep this good hip hop flowing through. 704

  • I remember hearing this joint for the first time and sayin' damn this shit is on some Common "I used to love her" type shit! I love when MC's use these kinda metaphors! Like being in a bad relationship, niggas is fed up with the state of this rap shit but 2 in love 2 walk away...Real shit!

  • DOPE

  • they sample from the best past in present this is music

  • Sold my heart to the world, nobody bought it.

  • Sold my kidney on ebay, nobody bought it.

  • Rap - Lies= Hip Hop

  • cold flo+ fresh beats/meaningful lyrics -lies=hip hop. good shit my dude. i competely agree wit chu

  • Good Looking Out Good To See Somebody Listen To Real Hip Hop Many People Don't See It But Hip Hop IS Gonna Attack Bullshiters REAL HARD Cause Right Now Hip Hop Just Watching These Garbage Ass Niggas

  • @lyricist614 if you look it up hip-hop came from rap.

  • @jhammaster Listen homie.Rap is something U do.Hip Hop is something U live.Pop or RnB music wit some body Rappin on it.Duznt really constitute as a HipHop song/joint.Now depending on whos Rappin alongside an RnB artist.May perhaps be considered a HipHop joint.Example.Jody wately feat.Rakim on freinds. Now dats a classic.Either genre.Rkelly feat.Keith Murray on dat party cut.Dats an official joint either genre.U follow dat homie. If not I'll put u on sum more info.peace.

  • @visionkingdom actually if anything there is no real definition to either it's all opinion based. hip-hop is music while rap is music yeah they're different but we can't define music.

  • @jhammaster Well cuz I happen to think We can.Becuz If We cudnt den it wudnt be called Music.Defining Music simply means to describe it.Givin it a description.Music its self is a Universal medium. At da same time.Different sounds speak to humanity in distinct ways & forms. But wen Hip Hop reached da early 80s.Dats wen it came into its own unique sound. In da early 70s wen it 1st popd.It was enveloped into wat was goin on bac den.Like Soul,Jazz,Funk,FunkJazz&Dancehall Raegae at da toastin parties.

  • these guys always have the freshest beats

  • man little brother is the realist niggaz foreal "Why you think muh'fuckers like to feed pigeons but try to shoot eagles?" they a beast

  • Yea, but it's the south that doesn't give them love. I talk to south dudes all the time, and damn near 100% of these guys have never heard of Little Brother. But when i talk to New York or Chicago cats, they all know LB.

  • My Nigga I Wouldn't Be Suprise

  • Great sample.... another hit of that real shit....beat is on point and the the lyrics is bout that real

  • Hip-hop Eternalist.

  • this is hip hop

  • the spinners - how could i let you get away

  • anybody know the samples?

  • illmind produced this ...know your hiphop

  • shit . .

  • 9th Wonder is a God.

  • This was produced by Illmind

  • It Really Should

  • wow I like the reference at the beginning and illmind is that dude, think he from jersey.

  • What album or mixtape is this from?

  • DJ DRAMA & little brother..seperate but equal

  • classic

  • good beat great!!!!!

  • phonte is a beast. this nigga and dre 3000 murder every track they touch. illmind is a beast too

  • "That's the nature of people, why you think motha fuckas like to feed pigeons but try to shoot eagles".

    Spitting Truth right here.

  • Damn, this is a banga off the DJ Drama mixtape..shout to ILL MIND with the production..

  • The head nigga in charge is still dreamin

Of an industry where hot shit's rewarded

And dope shit's recorded and dumb shit's ignored

And I, sold my heart to the world, nobody bought it

    Phonte top 5 period!

  • I agree with you Phonte is a problem on the mic!!

  • A major problem...big time! Pooh is dope as hell too. Little Brother is the illest man, i swear. But the world doesn't want to hear it. I just can't understand why.

  • yeah they are. and they from the south. this just proves that hip hop is alive in every corner

  • Yea, but it's the south that doesn't give them love. I talk to south dudes all the time, and damn near 100% of these guys have never heard of Little Brother. But when i talk to New York or Chicago cats, they all know LB.

  • yeah thats true, however in north carolina, they get mad love and the hip hop scene there is heavily influenced by their style. just yeah the south is on some bullshit right now

  • North Carolina has NEVER prescribed to the Dirty South ethos. They were always more influenced by the East Coast sound. Right now, the best hip hop is coming outta Carolina...i can't even front. Shit, with Chaundon, Te, Pooh, Sean Boog, E. A. Floe, Skyzoo, them Boot Camp niggas,Scudda..fuck, their whole camp is coming hard. I know some of those dudes are from other spots, but their work with the J-League producers is some top notch shit.

  • Exactly I would surmis Greensboro/Winston-Salem is where East Cost and Down South split in terms of hip hop in NC....Not that it was or is that deep but just geographical and maybe radio play wise thats probably where. I never heard a 3-6 mafia, ugk, or mjg/8ball song growing up in eastern north carolina

  • Hmm...damn, Greensboro on down to WS, huh? I always knew a lot of Carolina cats and i never heard them saying shit about being from the Dirty South, or no shit like that. After Petey Pablo came out with that trash ass music, i'd heard that a few heads down there started talking all that south this and south that nonsense. But before then, i'd never heard that.

  • yeah they're the south but they dont rep that dirty south aka fuck ass nigga excuse for not being able to rap bullshit

  • @YungCyfe lol yeah NC always been the southeast just all these damn folks from everywhere else claiming they frome here and they aint , not that its good or bad

  • Niggas in H-town know Little Brother why cause they down with us. UGK Scarface

  • Little Brother aint really known in Houston, man. I know some Houston cats, and only one of my partners down there know about LB.

  • They are down, for one strange fruit is from Texas so real recognize real. Secondly they scream H-town on this DJ Drama CD " In H-town they be like pooh be getting throwed" Ive seen these boys down here and on the radio saying" We got love for that H."

  • this track is tough.

  • LB is amazing

  • I had to take some manternity leave!

  • He is talking about the music industry as a whole.

And it feels like she laughin at me, I can't be mad cause she wanna shake her laffy taffy .. It means that "rap" is laughing at hime because people would rather listen to laffy taffy over him.

  • preach brotha! lol..let em know!

  • This should be part 2 to I Used to Love HER

  • Comment removed

  • i agree wit you homie.
