@Esupikus No. The yellow lines are tracers, ammo designed to burn in the air. Tracers are used to set things on fire, direct attention to that position for riflemen or others, adjust aim, etc. Since MGs are effective out to almost a mile, the tracers can really come in handy for longer distance shooting (where wind comes into play). There's usually one tracer for every four rounds of ball (FMJ) ammo in a MG belt. Rifles and pistols rarely use tracers.
