I just figured out the 2nd song is. It's "The Tears of a Clown" by Smoky Robinson and the Miracles. I had to listen to the clip several times to hear what he was saying. Thanks to those who researched though.
I got to see danny in sammy's room at harrahs in reno. This man was remarkably talented and a real pleasure to be in the presence of to be entertained. Good Man Danny Gans Thanks for sharing
It's amazing and very hard to describe the joy I always felt during your shows!!!!!!! I will certainly miss you.......the perfect role model for someone who wanted to be " an entertainer ".......Very sad indeed. JCS
I live in Las Vegas, and I was fortunate to see one of his last performances ( at the Encore ), my mother was visiting and even though she didnt get all the jokes, she did enjoy the show. It was absolutely great, and I told my mom I will take everyone of my friends that come to visit me here to see that show...
@vegassipu ; I loved Danny Gans!!! I miss him very much. I saw him everytime I came to Las Vegas. My wife and I saw him at least twenty times. He was the very BEST!!!
If I could only buy a video of him doing a few of his shows. I would be where he is in heaven!
I agree, a truly great show! Vegas needs a another great Vegas style show. Any thoughts to keep Danny's spirit alive? Finis Henderson an awesome entertainer suitable to keep the tradition going!!!!
I saw Danny on February 14th with the high recommendations of friends he was awesome...I am so sad for his family! What a huge loss to the entertainment of Las Vegas..
I saw him for the first time only last Tuesday night, his next to the last show.
He was beyond fabulous from start to finish, and we never would have dreamed that he would be gone less than 2 days later. I still shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. A classy guy and a true star!!
I was so blessed to have been able to see Danny Gans in concert last year, what a remarkable performer. I will miss his show and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children, I'm so sorry for your loss. God Bless. Bill
I'm from Las Vegas. It's different when you live here. You don't really go to the attractions. It's just another city. Seen him on Billboards and Taxi's .. Can't say I wish I'd seen him .. impersonaters are a dime a dozen, but RIP.
I first saw his show on VHS when my grandfather got it for us in Vegas several years ago. This summer, I was fortunate enough to get to see him perform live. It was a show that I'll never forget; a man with such talent and versatility cannot be replaced. He was a clean performer, always kept the audience in high regard, and an entertainer I hold in the utmost esteem. I can only hope to bring half as much joy to the world as he has. Rest in Peace, Mr. Gans. My thoughts and prayers to your family.
I just saw him last Friday at Encore. It's very sad. Quick story. Before I went to see him, I thought this guy was going to be a poser or something for putting on his billboards "Entertainer of the Year." But I thought I'd give him a chance. Well now I know why he was "Entertainer of the Year" every year. His show was fuckin' awesome. I had a great time. I said afterwards that I would definitely see him again. I'm lucky that I saw him once.
I question why this is not on the news more?? My local paper in Tacoma did not even have a brief about it. Nothing at all. When Sigfreid & Roy were attacked my tigers it was ALL over the news. Danny Gans was the #1 act in Las Vegas, and I personally loved his show. He will be missed. Any Danny Gans conspiracy theories out there? It seems mysterious.
What a loss of talent!! I saw Danny Gans act just about every year in Vegas, He was truely one amazing performer, I never got tired of his act, not only did he have talent to do celebrity voice's but he himself had one of the best singing voices ever!! Sadly I will miss this one great talent so glad I saw him with my own eyes and ears, now heaven got him to entertain them all. :( rest in peace Danny you'll always be one of the best of all time, Greatest Performers!!!!!!
Saw him in Vegas in November. Absolutely incredible. Unbelievable impersonations--made you think the person he was impersonating was there instead!!! He has a legacy in the entertainment industry and his character stood the test of time.
He was probably poisoned by the Jews. He died very mysteriously. Most people don't die suddenly at 52.
The Jews killed many entertainers and I see the Jews here putting him down, like that guy, artiebarnes, who is a Jew and half the team of Barnes and Barnes, with another Jew, Bill Mumy.
Lots of times they will kill a star and then spread false rumors that he was gay, like Jim Morrison. The Jews crimes are now well documented thanks to the internet.
I watched Danny's show 2 times in the last 10 years. I was planning to see him again in the new Wynn Theatre. What a shock! RIP Danny, "the" Entertainer!
Hard to get the impact of his performances on this video. Great show. Have seen him several times and this definitely does not do him justice. Very sad.
I think it will turn out that he had a viral infection, thats what it sounds like. My godmother had the same thing, so did Jim Henson, it happens so suddenly and with little warning.
artiebarnes I hope to god somebody says that about you when you die you stupid fuck! God should take dipshits like you instead of great people like this. Have some respect dumbass!
My Danny is now with Jesus... I recall the time we had intercourse...He wouldn't let me take him anally, but orally was ok. I still see his sly grin as my semen dripped from his chin... good times, my friends.... r.i.p.
When he played Baseball and suffered a injury that ended his career, A man in his hospital room said that God had big plans for him. He went on to entertain millions. He is now with Jesus eternally and his show on earth is over. I will miss you pal. In Jesus name.
I just saw his show 3 nights ago....I was already telling my friends that we'd go back to his show next time we're in town. What a great show and great entertainer. RIP
R.I.P Danny you were the BEST in the business. We will all miss you. God Bless Julie, and the kids and his sister Peggy. I love you. You will always be remembered!!!!!!
You have no clue as to what u r talkinga bout. Danny Gans has been an amazing talent in Vegas for decades. he even had a hit record on the radio. he not only did impressions he sang danced and was charming charismatic and more! God rest his soul! It was near to impossible to get tickets for this show. I was a dealer in Vegas for 20 years and I never met anyone that did not enjoy this show! I always recomended it! RIP Danny.
Again, I'm just basing my comment (which apparently was removed?) on this video. The audio's fine, but I'm not hearing Springsteen, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Powter... just someone singing their song with a great group of musicians in the back.
u will never get the chance to see this talent. just accept it, sometimes he just sang in his own voice, he didn't only "impersonate" you need to accept that you haven't seen him live , you have nothing to compare his genius too. Danny was an amazing talent. one for the books!
Damn I had noooo idea WHO he was....whew after seeing that video...THAT MAN WAS AWESOME!!!! WHAT A TALENT!!!! How could he be gone from us...he was so young. I would have loved to see his act in vegas...he was so talented. We get a person with that type of talent ONCE in a lifetime...RIP Mr. Gans
My husband and I saw him Wednesday night. We didn't know at the time that we were watching his last performance. Another reminder of how short life can be.
