Well, if you maxed it's sp. attack, gave it a Starf Berry for more sp. attack, Gust for STAB and all your opponents weak to Flying, then yeah it's easy (but staged)

A friend of mine got me some min IV Pokés with -SpDef nature that I requested. Had to try about 20 times this battle before it succeed. +2 SpA from berry, about 70% chance that Medicham dies at the 2a SpA Gust, and rest goes with OHKO iirc.

Btw, that Heracross had Max Attack (+Att Nature), @CB and Combee had like 31 HP IV and 20 Def IV and thats like 100% chance to not die w/o CH if Heracross uses STAB Close Combat. xP

So this was totally set upped match. :P

And yes he meant narrowly escaped defeat; Close Combat almost OHKO'd Combee only to activate Starf berry and up Sp. Attack so Gust would wipe out the whole team, Hera, Breloom, and Leafeon in particular. Total victory could've been eluded had CC 1KO'd you, then again it would instead be total victory for the Red corner, the Gust-weak team, and not the Blue corner, the Combee that swept through them. Yes, very highly situational indeed, because what if there were Pokémon like say Pikachu as well?

Sweet Scent isn't so useless if you use it in a double battle to lower both opponents' evasiveness to make your moves more accurate. Although, there are definitely Pokemon better suited for that job than Combee. lol.
