  • It was great to view this icon! I don't compare the sound or rhythm of this person to anyone other than Mr. Lightfoot. His demure attitude is a true testament to a very hard working individual who happens to have an appealing voice quality. There are some people out there who work very hard just to be able to work very hard. He and I are one of them. The only difference, is, he's Gordon Lightfoot and I am not.LOL!

  • Happy Birthday Gord !

  • I had no idea Gordon had such a time with his health - I thought he had just stopped singing....thank goodness he is doing better and back to singing to all the people like me who have always LOVED his music! His music reminds me of sitting in my bedroom as a teenager listening to his 45 with the snow falling down in Buffalo, NY! We love you Gordon!

  • we love gordon here in milwaukee would like to see him at summer fest or indian summer it starts to get a little cold in september but i know he will keep us warm and we will keep him warm like he always has with his music we live a crayfish jump from lake michigan so i hope he comes in on a wave some day it's all about the open air and the music to me because he makes me feel like a native and a brother

  • got to see him in concert here in spokane couple of years ago loved it

  • He's always been a tough looking guy with that moustache. He's not a metrosexual but that's OK he's always true to himself. He's a piece of Canadiana.

  • Gordo is the Dylan with a melody..A genius who I think has never been given his due

He looks much better than he did a few years ago

  • First there was Dylan. Then there were Gordon.

    Then there was everybody else.

  • Great guy, beautiful music! We love you Gordon!!!!

  • "May God bless and keep you always, may your wishes all come true. what a great artist.

  • His best albums are IMHO, Summer Side of Life, Shadows and Sundown. Interesting they all start with an "s".

  • SUPERSTAR!!!my mom was in total love with gordon.Ive noticed alot of his lesser known stuff is about whiskey and booze....i wonder if hes ever had a drug or alcohal problem....doubt it but you never know

  • Damn, I wish Gord would come to Korea.

  • I've listened to Sundown repeatedly, such a sad song, but a fantastic one at that as well.

  • He Sounded Awesome Wednesday Night in Florida. . .3/10/2010 We Loved Every Song. We hope that he keeps singing for a long, long time. Thankful to God for his recovery!

  • Saw him last night in Atlanta (March 5, 2010). He's looking good and he's as soulful as ever. We're so lucky to still have him. What a great show.

  • this kind man has enriched my life with his wonderful lyrics and harmony since i was 15 years old. i have spent time with him in toronto, and he is truly a down to earth, really nice person. and yes, his voice wants to make you melt. you don't get much more special than gord. a big thanks to him for all he does and may he go safe and healthy

  • A very rare and beautiful person! Not a better singer/songwriter/poet ever!

    All the best Gord!

    Love you!

  • Gordon,

It's starting to rain in CA finally. I always think of you and rainy day people.

  • In my personal pantheon of all-time great musicians, especially songwriters, Gord is #1. Please, God, let him carry on quite a bit longer - he always has so much to say, and such an amazing way of saying it!

  • What a joy that he survived! If Gordon Lightfoot lived in England, he would now have been knighted, and be known as Sir Gordon Lightfoot, and would well deserve it. His dedication to his music, and his will to live and continue with it is inspiring.

  • God I love this man - I wish I would have met him when I was single for almost 10 years... (been remarried for 5 to a wonderful, Christian man), but Gordon's voice just makes me want to melt and hug him.... He looks so wonderful here - right now, he is a bit too thin... (saw him November 18 & 19th at Massey Hall). I grew up with him (first hearing him at about age 14) so he is my all time favorite!

  • God bless Godon! I hope he lives and performs beyound 100!

    Worlds finest lyricist!

  • I love Gordon Lightfoot. I grew up in Ohio listening to Canadian radio. What beautiful music. And I love Canadians; such gentle and thoughtful people.

  • @stvartak ...You are amazing for saying that. Thank you :)

  • what, he was working out 120 to 150 times a year, for the fans? is this man for real?

  • love u gordon

  • A true legend.

  • The chick reminds one of Carol Brady.
