  • the second time, that is after marinading, when you put the gobhi in the oven; do you put it on convection (baking) or microwave? please advice.

  • @seorashmi : We used a convention oven but you can also use the convection oven. The microwave will not give the cauliflower a color that the oven can give :)

  • LIKE A TURKEY!? :|

  • Could I use smoked paprika, or do I need to get regular? This recipe looks great!

  • @EvenfallMoon : Smoked Paprika has a very distinct flavor and aroma. It will taste different but should still be good.

    Enjoy :)

  • @ShowMeTheCurry Thanks for the reply, I can't wait to try the recipe! :)

  • I love cooking & watch recipes from youtube.U guys are really innovative and talented. Most of your recipe videos are just excellent and I really appreciate that you guys allow the viewers to put their feedback(whether it is good or bad)for each of your recipe. There are some sites like manjula'skitchen.com or the videos uploaded in youtube by them they even don't allow people to add comment which states some disliking or suggestions. They only keep the good comments posted to their video.LOL :)

  • This recipe is genius! I've never heard of anything similar before and really looking forward to trying it. It's vegetarian, low calorie and has terrific presentation. Thank you so much, ladies! :)

  • hetal baji this is a great recipe! but i just want to ask one thing. i have noticed that you guys use "purple onions/ shallots" instead of the regular white onions, why is that? thanks, hinnah.

  • @hinz313

We have heard that vegetable with color are nutritionally superior to ones without color. This is the only reason we use red onions (not shallots). You can use which ever onion you like. Usually, red onions also work well for recipes that don't require cooking.

  • @hinz313 back home(south-east indian neighbouring countries), shallots are more commonly found, reddish small onions, atleast thats what i noticed growing up back home i never saw them use yellow onions, large white onions i only saw in fancy restaurants they serve it with salad cuz it has less of a kick then the onions we cook with. I personally find shallots bring much more flavor to the dish.

  • can u please teach tandoori aloo

  • They should just put it in another baggy with the tandoori sace and smoosh it in the cracks that way

  • try broccoli then :Pp

  • excellent. keep them coming

  • Are the ingredients and the instructions posted somewhere? I dislike copying off of a video.

  • There is a link on the right of the video. Click on it, it will take you the detailed recipe on our website with an option to 'print recipe'.

    :)

  • Got it, thanks!

  • i just wanted to ask when using store bought masalas which brands do you prefer?

  • The tandoori masala that we really like is 'rajah tandoori masala' from Indian grocery stores.

  • wow this dish is SO TASTY!!!! thank you.

i slightly changed it by cutting the cauliflower into pieces, instead of doing it whole.

  • I love all of your recipes, have been watching almost all of them :D

but.. I find your video have way too low volume.. can you record it with louder microphone on?

  • This is what I like to see! Can you upload more of these kinds? =) I&TBPSQUOm tired of seeing all the other nonsense stuff on youtube. haha!

  • its too bad i sold my microwave to get money for the computer... looks like im outta luck eh... hahahahah

    microwave....

  • If you watch the video, you'll see that Oil is used 2 times in this recipe.

  • I don't think they should use the microwave so much.

  • hmm yes, why do the onions in the microwave?

  • the onions can be done on the stove-top as well and will come out just as well. We just wanted to show a different way of making them:)

  • The microwave uses much less energy than the stove... always go microwave when you don't need the control of the stove.

  • Interesting twist even for a hardcore Desi guy like me. Thanks for sharing.

  • looks interesting

  • I'm Thankful for my Indian Sisers & Brothers. Their way of eating is about the most Healthful I know of. Such a way with Herbs & Spices.

  • There is alot of evidence that Tumeric is anti-cancer.

  • MAN I hate these: "Why is your stomach fat ?"-Ad that pops up on many cooking-videos and blocks the subtitles while telling me i'm fat.

Dammit don't annoy me Youtube !

  • GOSH! such huge cauliflower. Could have cut it into smaller bits so it would marinade better and taste better. Go get a better serving platter gals, a microwave dish?

  • the serving platter for the cauliflower was for the oven right? not microwave.

  • I'll try this... although I like onions 'fried'... but this looks healthy and interesting at the same time... way different from how I know Cauliflower cooked.

    Thanks. 5*

  • Onion breath til next halloween

  • looks like a turkey alright

  • hey if its too much of a fuss to hang the yogurt just use labnah if anyone knows what that is you can find it in any Arab stores you will mostly find it in small Lebanese shops its the same stuff and taste great

  • Brains!!! Brains!!!!

  • They are Australian.

  • i am sure this is tastefull. But how could someone present this plate in a table with guests?the colour of the onions is awful and ruins the whole whole plate.

  • ok.

is it normaly that you cook couliflower in micro wave @ usa?

  • dyamnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • Looks great! I am going to make this as soon as I can. The onion mix all around really finishes this nicely too! Excellent, thank you for sharing this.

  • curry

  • why do you call them Ignorance Foods?

  • maybe so but garlic has compounds beneficial to health.

  • sure. As long as you know that 9/11 was a Zionist false-flag operation, carried out by the Mossad/CIA, then we can talk.

  • Indian food is the best in my opinion, after that comes Thai food.

  • thank you for the receipe, looks great!

I just wonder a bit that you are using a microwave. I would like to know how it can be done in the traditional way. I guess the spices would come out better with frying them in oil, but maybe i am wrong?

  • I know ! Microwave is not the traditional way to go. Its not called "Tandoori" for no reason! However, not everyone can afford to have a tandoor in their house. The easiest may be microwave but i find it easier to do it in an oven. A small oven will also do. Or if its a big party with a large number of people you can always barbecue it on the grill. I dint follow this recipe but the recipe for all tandoori masalas is almost the same. And i used butternut squash and zucchini as well!! And potatoes

  • omg , every featured is about thanksgiving :O

  • I don't like mirowaving plastic but I'm sure you could steam the cailfolwer in a dich or bolw.

The spices in the yougrt sauce sound very yummy;I will have to try to make this.

  • some ignorant Americans here are insulting delicacies from other countries..

makes me laugh n feel sorry for them cos they're so close minded n know nothing about outside of the US. bt im not sayint all of them are, obviously.

  • You two should forward your video , you never know you may get your own show. Very well done.

  • Brilliant blending of seasonsings to make a simple vegetable a taste sensation. I appreciate your posting, but may I please suggest one thing? I missed a few ingredients while you were mentioning them due to unclear and too quick pronounciation - you were looking down when you said them, too, so it made it even more difficult to make it out. Thanks.

  • This looks wonderful ! Susan in Iowa

  • For people who have access to Lebanese or Mediterranean grocery stores, instead of hanging the yoghurt, you can buy pressed yoghurt, or Labneh. Really delicious in pita sandwiches and easier than hanging yoghurt in a muslin cloth.

  • Excellent suggestion, thanks for sharing!

    THAT IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

  • Yikes

  • hi.. this looks awesome but do you know any good vegan substitute for the yogurt in this recipe??

  • try using creamy bean curd. might work.

  • yes, you can actually use creamy/soy bean curd.. :)

  • unsweetend soy curd + squeeze of lime juice should yield similar taste like yogurt and i also believe we can use them.

  • Awesome...

I like cooking which is not normal for a desi male to do... But kya karen accha khana bhi hai aur zaban chatori hai to banana to padega hi...

Thanks for the different style of cooking (other than my Mom's style) which I will surely try!
