i was like twelve back then, i watched it in the store and was completely blown away by the graphics, this game was beyond my dreams, there was absolutely nothing like it, not even close..butterflies in my stomache and everything..it devastated and ruled the racing genre with absolutely no serious competition up and till GT3..that is quite an achievement in the game business..i doubt there will ever be a game that has such an impact in the racing genre:)

do yourself a favout though. do not PLAY it again... nothing worse than ruining your memories of a classic by playing it again 4 years after.... after playing modern racing games...

They have always managed to squeeze every inch of graphical bits from a system and use it for the game, that, combined with good gameplay. However, this can also lead to idiotic long DELAYS!
