No, ETID did that, but backwards. After hot damn! they changed their genre and went effin southern rock. Before it was all about the music and screw everything else, they were HEADLINING and did a 3 songs and just walked off stage to go hit up the bar. THATS being a musician and treating it like an art, now they make cds with emo fags (gerard way) and treat music like a job that pays bills.
...it is a job. And they have bills to pay. Wouldn't you love to do nothing but play the music you wrote tour make money and not have to work a shitty 9-5. They are better now than ever. And they are writing exactly what they want to.

I agree, the whole point of ETID is not being pop; writing intelligent music with constant time and tempo changes. Keith is a fucking genius and even if he "sold out" he would make a a sarcastic joke about it and keep pumping out killer fucking music with Andy, Jordan, and Ratboy.
Word the fuck up. HD! is a fucking strong albun, but the next two were just as good. The Big Dirty is sick, and the newer performances of Off Broadway sound so much better than this one

best part about hardcore/metal bands that do more 'rock' records is that after they do their 'rock' record they always come back to their roots on the album after that. so expect a fucking sick as hell new etid soon. and this quality is fine! its actually really good, anyway i can get this shit in ipod format?

In my opinion, Gutter Phenomenom is far from a pop album, however it is more influenced by standard rock bands then any of there other material.
