did guitar freaks 2nd mix have the beatmania style groove gauge (where a crtain point must be reached to clear a stage), or the drummania style excite gauge (when it runs out, game over) ?
i downloaded the first guitar freaks on mame and it had the gauge like the beatmania, which, alongside the terrible lagging, prevents me from getting past stage 1...
