There are many different types of Sasquatch, for instance there is a type that burrows into the ground like a giant rodent. "Zoobey" is a bigfoot that lives around Rockglen Saskatchewan... I believe he lives in the ground. It's been told the entrance to his burrow about 2.5 - 3 feet around. I hope some day they find one of these burrowing Bigfoots.

No the DNA did NOT come back as unknown primate. It came back as human. The other DNA fragments were due to purifying processes to remove contaminants that could be interpreted as DNA other than human. The guy in the lab said further testing was needed to see if there was any DNA other than HUMAN present. Another Meldrum wild goose chase.

I believe the screw boards are for hoofed animals. They thought naturally occurring animals were causing the damage. I don't think they thought it was a Bigfoot before the incident. But yeah, I agree, they need to be more creative with their methods. Set up a damn web cam on the roof with a large battery supply and motion sensor for about a week or more.

well the DNA came back as an unknown primate. great apes like chimps and gorillas are almost exactly the same as us except they have an extra 35 polymorphic nuecleatides or genetic markers the DNA collected at the cabin had almost human DNA but had 1 extra genetic marker shared with a chimpanzee. and was classified as an undocumented primate

I saw this one on TV. If I recall correctly the screwboard was purposely left there as the creatures had been to that cabib before and had broken into it. That begs the question, if they knew the creature(s) would return, why did they not leave cameras to catch it on film? Also, why would they take so long to go retrieve the board? In my humble opinion, all these Bigfoot documentaries lack creativity when it comes to try to prove Bigfoot's existence.

The thing is that the people who put up the board were the cabin owners who thought it probably was a bear.

Although i agree that a motionsensitive cam would be logical to out up now, if they actually belive there is such a creature. Put it up for a year, and they would have a fair chance of catching something, instead of ust a week as they did now.

If someone really belives in this it seams there are way better ways to try and find proof than what is being employed right now.

If they are real I believe the investigators should try what was used in N.B. Canada to prove the Eastern Cougar had returned. After a number of sightings, Rangers placed a number of velcro (hook) pads in the area. They had been soaked in female cougar urine (the attractant for a sasquatch would be problematical) and within a short period of time hairs were caught that proved the existence of the E. Cougar.

Could be, or definitely of tight relation to us, and therefore not an animal as we understand it (ape). IMO they act and appear WAY to human-like and non-animal-like, curious of us but non-aggressive, realizing we're basically big trouble. So they'll (often) swiftly retreat when they see swift human action, they simply don't know what we'd do. DNA testing or samples might very well be usesless. Bigfoot and similar creatures may simply be human, and DNA testing would simply test as human.

I personally think Bigfoot is 100% human, simply living wild, with a covering of hair. The condition of a human being covered in a coat of hair is known as Hypertrichosis. If this is the case, DNA testing would show the DNA as being 100% human.

Bigfoot is definately not human, the only explanation to their existance is the Giaganto theory, an ape which stood upto 10 feet tall and migrated from Asia to North America, if this is true bigfoot cannot yeild human DNA but only ape as it decends from ape. They have immence strength, speed and have great night vision, so if it were 100% human why cant we do the things a sasquath does? they have evoloved with mass instead of brain like us humans. The truth will all revealed soon enough.

I personally think that we should use Occam's razor: the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. And I think a hairy wild-living human is far more likely than a surviving prehistoric ape.

Yes the whole migration thing is just a theory but one that has to be considered. From the reports of North American and Canadian Sasquatch's they are too big to be human beings, 9ft tall weighing up to 1000lbs, Almas in Russia are thought to be living Neandethals however as they are more man sized and obviously a dif breed to NA Sasquatch. Interesting points though.

No, a creature wouldn't run into the woods with a board of that size as a new (and very painful) sandle or something. First, consider what the human reaction would be to stepping on a sharp object: that's right, we'd recoil immediately. We wouldn't stomp down on it again and again, causing more pain with each step. An animal wouldn't either. They would violently pull with the leg in pain, doing a lot of tissue damage, but they'd be free. And if they DID run with it, it'd get knocked off quickly.

This is just a tiny piece form an hour long documentary. the hair sample, and DNA tests proved that it wasnt a bear. The DNA was very similar to human DNA but with a few differences which can obviously result in a very different animal (in appearances at least) . . This is the best bigfoot documentary because the results are not completely inconclusive. Tests like these need to be done in order to identify a new species, if indeed bigfoot even exists. . . which i doubt lol :)

Dr. Nelson found human with two (I think) nucleotides found in chimpanzees after removing the interferring galvanizing from the screws. The results are later in the show.

In the sequel, testing by another lab only showed bacterial and fungal DNA. The sample was apparently too degraded.

The possible blood and tissue were outside for two years. There wouldn't have to be any deliberate tampering for bacteria and fungi to take hold.

Isn't a sample destroyed in testing? The sample the second lab got wouldn't have been the same one Dr. Nelson tested, would it?

I'm just going to assume that you have never been in the majestic forests of Ontario's north? Areas like Snelgrove Lake are so isolated that they are inaccessible in winter, to stay in an area like that during the freeze is considered to be suicide, by even the most experienced of woodsman. The lake is not long enough for a plane on skis to land and it can become too cold for a chopper to function properly so if you get into any trouble, even if you make radio contact, you're pretty much fucked.

I said nothing about not being able to stay in these areas, I've done it myself 4 different winter seasons, but you take your life in your hands when you do. On one of these excursions one member of our party died, heart attack, nothing glamorous, and all that we could do for him was to try and keep his body frozen through the spring thaw until they came for us. I personally think that if bigfoot is anything, it's migratory, and wouldn't be there in the winter season anyway.

It's 200 miles north of the nearest town. 200 miles. Besides, Mitochondrial DNA is supposed to be the end-all of species and individual identification. People go to and are set free from prison because of it. Dr. Nelson's DNA study of this sample showed it was 1 genome pair different from human. Chimps are 35 genome pair different. By my calculations, one genome pair represents about 1.1 million nucleotide bonds, so that's nothing to scoff at.

they end up finding out that the hair sample is very close to that of a chimp or human it is not human however it is missing some necessary things that would make it human hair, that dna would not work at first because something in the wood was throwing off the tests, fianlly they extracted the dna and found that it was a primate dna and very close to a human or chimp again, but it is only a 1 in 5000 chance of being human so basically it is sasquatch...i just got the video off of itunes

Actually I saw this on TV they ran tests on it and the got DNA from it which means it was tissue. The DNA came back almost identical to human DNA but with a few Chimp qualities.
