No, its 3DS MAX and lol your post is 8 months old, Autodesk bought maya since then and autodesk also owns 3ds Max. just see the end of his video, everything he did is said in the credits.

Dude, the artwork in this reel is nice, but I think that goes without saying really, the one aspect that I am completely impressed with is your use of cameras, they not only capture the surreal nature of the piece but also hold the motion and instability of a real life camera. Well done

quite nice, i love your dark outlook, fits my kind of 3d modeling style too. you're definitely one of the better texture artist i have seen. what modeling app did you use?

i wish i could create stuff that good.... but that is the limitations of game modeling i guess... poly limits suck, not to mention the fact that we're still nowhere near being able to do GI or any toher advanced lighting in realtime yet. well, enough of me rambling on, great job!
