Do you fixed weak place, on all your versions of SCARs? I meen big problem when return spring after not too long shoting sessions brake out the back plate of receiver. And is there any silencers available SCARs?
Please, say yes on both questions, cause I want to purchase it badly :)
@Vectar84 All the known issues with this 1st Gen SCAR had been fixed, incl. the return spring & back plate issues. The threading on the outer barrel is -14mm, so most AEG silencers will work.
in full auto this gun is pointless because you would run out of bbs in less than 2 seconds. and you can take out very many enemies in 2 seconds. plus there are some many people that wolud buy this if there were higher capacity magazines. I promise you that you will make more money. Also the gun is still realistic the people that want to play milsim go ahead and buy the 30 round magazines and waste your money and the people that are smart they can buy the smater way to go.
yes i do spray and pray but i still want this gun without having to buy 8 mags which still only holds 240 rounds one hi cap holds more. 8 mags would costover 300 hundred dollars. i if you wanted milsim you would need that much to be realistic there are more people on the other team than this gun holds.
I know gas blowback rifles all have 30 round to be more realistic but come on no one wants to buy at least 3 or 4 of these that cost 40 to 60 each you should make a higher capacity magazine that hold like 60 or 120
I've had this SCAR for about a week now and something has come up. Whenever I try to fire the gun, all th CO2 is emptied from the magazine. I cannot figure out what is wrong. Please help
@MrMuthaUcker The hinge plate WILL break if you run this gun on CO2. Would be nice if WE offered a solution to the problem. Maybe a billet replacement piece would be a good fix.
i have heard that the we scar that is apparently co2 ready still gets destroyed by the power of the co2 but will this gun run okay on green gas or will it even operate on 134a to be tottaly safe id still want 350 fps at least with .20g bbs and little bit of recoil but i just dont want to buy a gun for like $260 and for it to break thanks alot
@MrMuthaUcker Once again I want to stress that the stock plate breaking issue (using Co2) has LONG been rectified. However, if you really want the answer on what's the "SAFEST" , then I'll tell you green gas is abosulutely OK to run the gun without any problem. 134A is a bit too weak, but will still run the gun.
i dont own the gun so dont take my wword on it but ive heard its gun to lube it every 1000 rounds but it you want it to run realy smoothly and have a long life time every 500 - 750 should be gun
@DrHaggiz8561 It still breaks on the newer generation guns too. I heard there is a new plate you can get for the stock though. Would be nice if it was billet or something like that.......
The magazines have their follower at the back, away from the beebee's. But how does it know when to engage the bolt catch if it is apart from the compartment to hold the beebee's?
I've heard of the part that holds the stock and receivers together breaks under the stress of the co2. Does that happen when using green gas? Im kinda shaky on wheter to buy because of that!
@WEairsoft When you say reinforced do mean really durable plastic or cnc aluminum? Oh I think you Should make line of mp5 and mp5k gbb's. Just my thought!
@TripleVII From what I've read around other places, the 3rd generations have fixed all the problems that were known with the 1st generation SCAR models. Early 2nd Gens still had few problems, but later 2nd gens came out with those problems fixed. So 3rd Gens do not have hinge issues. But that may differ if in case of manufacture defect. I'm planning to get this gun. Hopefully soon.
@TripleVII if you are lucky and that 2nd gen is the later batch with fixed problems, then you would face no major issues with the gun. I've heard someone mention about gas leakage, but I think it was just a manufacturer defect, rather than the actual problems within the gun design. Only advice I can give is that, good maintenance will do wonders for you gun's longevity.
@TripleVII Oh and for the serial number, 3rd gens start from 1200 according to a source I've read around. They were released early 2009, so if that's not your case, I believe you have the 2nd gen SCAR.
This gun is a great deal for what you get, think about it. The real SCAR sells for $2750, you can find this for around $275-300 shipped. This is as close to the grove as you can get for 95% of the average joe's. I love FN, I have 2 of their pistols but there is no way I'm paying that much for a rifle. I can have an airsoft one for a 10th of the price. Keep up the great work guys. Also how is the cooldown with c02 vs GG indoors? I'm gonna pick one up next week and I dont know what mags to get.
As a manufacturer, of course I would give you favorable answers to your questions. So your stating "...if you like what you hear..." is, quite frankly, irrelevant. However, I will just give you some honest answers:
1. The stock plate breaking issue has LONG been addressed to & all the current SCARs are shipped with a reinforced version of the plate.
2. Yes, all our guns will perform better in the cold with Co2. That's just physics.
3. Max. range is 50-60m (headshot) with the new hop-up mod (DIY)
in fact this is the very 1st time I've heard of this issue. NO, our SCAR does not have that problem since its launch; I believe your friend's is an individual case & he should contact back the dealer from whom he made the purchase for warranty repair on that. WE stands behind all our products.
you guys got to make a ACR or a UMP .45 GBB rifle. (i dont say that because of modern warfare 2) you guys make great guns and should keep on making GBB's that no other company has made before like the ACR and UMP.45. hey maybe even bullpup's like the styre AUG or the tavor.
Same as the real steel version, the upper receiver is CNC aluminum alloy, the lower receiver is made of polymer. There is no such thing as a metal body SCAR, not even the real one. Modern day real steel manufacturers are now utilizing hi-strength polymer as an alternative to metal.
8mil isn't that great... the velocities would drop drastically, and you don't really feel any difference from being hit with a 6 mil as opposed to being hit with an 8 mil.
I think the scar-h is a great idea but the 20rnd mag would pose problems for the gas reservoir, as it could be too small especially if you want decent bb capacity. I wouldn't settle for less than 40 rounds. which is the main reason i don't have one of these yet; the mags are lowcap and expensive =P
@S33KY If you already have a real eotech like he does and a real foregrip for a firearm like he does, why not just add it on. Besides it's just for looks for this vid
first of nice video, clear demonstration. Im hoping to order mine for xmas, but I have 2 options, either order it including a co2 mag, or a normal gas mag, ive heard a lot of breaking plates, and various problems with Co2, as well as the better effects for blowback kick and power etc. Personally i'd like to use Co2, but i am wary of the consequences. I think i am going to go with green gas as it sounds to be the longer lasting safer bet, but i am aware that this gun is reinforced for Co2.
@carnagejc the newer versions have better plates i think but from another review i watched a guy bought the CO2 version and some tiny pin fell out of the trigger assembly, i think that was just the first batch though. i would just go with green gas then use propane since that adds more kick but not as hard as co2 i think
@carnagejc Well They Have Replacement Plates on evike and every other replacement part imaginable so you should be pretty good using CO2. And Ive heard of people using CO2 for like 25 Mags So I dont think the thing will EXPLODE on ya
The SCAR does come bone dry and you have to lube it well before even trying to use it. Since I already have my SCAR is there a way to find out if it is CO2 compatable?
That is not true. I think what you mean (or heard) is that one can adjust the 'position' of the vlave opening INSIDE the nozzle to yield higher or lower power (+/- fps). Now that is definitely true!
Not sure what you mean.... I'm sure FN, Magpul (now Remington), Kalashnikov, KAC, etc. had thought of that when they designed their right-side fold-able stock option. Impossible....??? Can you enlighten me your theory behind it?
The stock in fact DOES NOT block the trigger & upper hand grip (you think FN would not have thought of it when they designed the gun?) In fact, the butt stock end serves as a weak-hand rest.hold while the stock is folded.
With regard to the ACR, I think you're still stuck on the 'old news' about Bushmaster ;) Yes, Bushmaster WAS collaborating with Magpul, but the ACR is now the property of Remington. You want proof? Shoot me a PM & leave your email ;-)
It looks like it in the video. Maybe I'm just seeing it from a bad angle or something.
Anyway, yeah, I haven't really been keeping up with the ACR's movement through companies because it's getting ridiculous how many times the design is being bought and resold, lol.
I have owned an AEG version of the Gen. 1 FN SCAR-L. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the WE SCAR-L is a replica of a Gen. 3 FN SCAR-L. My AEG version's stock hinged horizontally and didn't block the trigger at all, but it does kind of look like it would block the trigger to me on the Gen. 3 SCAR-L. This has already been resolved though (see the comments).
hi, i bought mine from evike .You will see two pictures of WE SCAR (BALCK OR TAN) ,the pic with CO2 is for CO2 mag and the pic with GAS is for GREEN GAS mag .hope this will help:)
Actually they do... one of them is the "CO2 version" meaning it has a CO2 mag and is reinforced to handle CO2, and the other is a "Green gas version" meaning it has a green gas magazine and is not reinforced to handle CO2. Even though the CO2 model has a weak stock hinge that will break with CO2 use, you should buy it anyway and use green gas magazines in it for added longevity.
Hey, Thanks For your concern but I referred to the video here on youtube named "we tech scar Questions & Comments" posted by ckiniceone. In that video he showed the differences between the older butt stock plate and the newer, It seems I have the newer version. Thanks Very Much Again !
hey..i was wondering why did you order your gun all the way from h.k? In case if you need to repair for under warranty service and i believe the shipping cost is a lot .You could get it here at evike(.)com .They are the best warranty service and all the parts for WE scar are available :)
Well I have been dealing with Redwolf since I've started playing airsoft about 6 or 7 years ago, they have great customer service , extremely fast reasonably priced shipping not to mention the gun was 40 dollars cheaper ! Also they have a point reward system in which the more ya spend the more points ya get which translates being able to redeem them for certain products such as pistols , rifles , aeg's , accessories , etc.
yea..i see your point ,do you get free shipping for this gun and did the gun come with orange tip ? i believe no need orange tip in asia country which is very nice :)
unfortunately no . Shipping was around 60 bucks but that's with a few extras in the box along with the gun ... and no the orange tip was glued on the barrel but that's due to the threat of customs seizing the gun. The tip and the glue came off with the help of a torch and pliers lol . But it did come along with the grey steel flash hider in the box .
Hello, how can I tell what generation my scar is ? I was told it was gen 3 by the retailer, but before I go ahead with Co2 I'd like to be 100 percent sure its able to handle it . Thanks
Hello..For the new plate has reinforced steel ribs inside now. Where can i buy it from ? Will you guys make this upgraded parts for which located metal port attached to upper receiver tide with screws ,if you can made this part for reinforced steel that would be really great also for to handle recoil .Would you recommend if i apply some gear grease on moving parts such as trigger group , return spring and bolt carrier group .Because those silcone oil spray are not last longer after a few days .
You can get it from most of our authorized dealers. Not sure what you're talking about "metal port attached to upper receiver...??" Yes, a little bit of gear grease in the trigger group will work fine.
YES, indeed, the stock end plate issue is now rectified. The current plate is now thicker & reinforced with steel ribs inside to handle the extra recoil from the bolt when operates with Co2
If you're talking about the fixing of the little issues the SCAR-L had before, then the 'new', improved version is already shipping. If you mean the SCAR-H, then it is not yet available; probably for another couple months.
I still got one. I bought a CO2 mag aditionally becuase there is green gas mag included. The internals are made CO2 ready at the AWSS version onky, not on the regular WE SCAR.
551 is smallest but uses the small button batteries which are hard to replace the 553 uses AAA batteries but is bigger and the 556 is much bigger bit is more ridged with less curvy lines and uses AA
Will the WE AWSS M4 Stainless Steel Reinforced Complete Nozzle Assembly (Locking Valve Design) from Evike reduce the FPS? I am not sure where to find the TSC valve that you are talking about.
WE,
If u guys make a SCAR AEG, it wud outsell alot of other brands hands down,

Not sure what you mean.... I'm sure FN, Magpul (now Remington), Kalashnikov, KAC, etc. had thought of that when they designed their right-side fold-able stock option. Impossible....??? Can you enlighten me your theory behind it?
WEairsoft 2 years ago
The stock completely blocks the trigger and upper hand grip when it's folded. How do you not see this?
And Magpul is not now Remington... I think you were referring to the Masada (now the ACR), which was purchased by Bushmaster, not Remington?
MrSniper16 2 years ago
The stock in fact DOES NOT block the trigger & upper hand grip (you think FN would not have thought of it when they designed the gun?) In fact, the butt stock end serves as a weak-hand rest.hold while the stock is folded.
With regard to the ACR, I think you're still stuck on the 'old news' about Bushmaster ;) Yes, Bushmaster WAS collaborating with Magpul, but the ACR is now the property of Remington. You want proof? Shoot me a PM & leave your email ;-)
WEairsoft 2 years ago
It looks like it in the video. Maybe I'm just seeing it from a bad angle or something.
Anyway, yeah, I haven't really been keeping up with the ACR's movement through companies because it's getting ridiculous how many times the design is being bought and resold, lol.
MrSniper16 2 years ago
Have you ever held a SCAR? It doesn't block anything.
Excalibur01 2 years ago
I have owned an AEG version of the Gen. 1 FN SCAR-L. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the WE SCAR-L is a replica of a Gen. 3 FN SCAR-L. My AEG version's stock hinged horizontally and didn't block the trigger at all, but it does kind of look like it would block the trigger to me on the Gen. 3 SCAR-L. This has already been resolved though (see the comments).

how do i tell which one i get ... airsplat evike and airsoftgi do not say what kind of mags they come with how do i know what im getting??????
death680 2 years ago
hi, i bought mine from evike .You will see two pictures of WE SCAR (BALCK OR TAN) ,the pic with CO2 is for CO2 mag and the pic with GAS is for GREEN GAS mag .hope this will help:)
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
Actually they do... one of them is the "CO2 version" meaning it has a CO2 mag and is reinforced to handle CO2, and the other is a "Green gas version" meaning it has a green gas magazine and is not reinforced to handle CO2. Even though the CO2 model has a weak stock hinge that will break with CO2 use, you should buy it anyway and use green gas magazines in it for added longevity.
MrSniper16 2 years ago
No airsoft gun should use Co2, it kills guns.
joyousplatapus 2 years ago
Not if it's made to handle it.
MrSniper16 2 years ago
does it come with a co2 mag or a gas mag????i have heard both
death680 2 years ago
hey ,About the mags whatever you like to get Co2 or GG mag .You can choose :)
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
Depending on the dealer, you can have a choice of either. But from the factory, the SCAR package is shipped only with a gas mag
WEairsoft 2 years ago
depends what version you buy. either green gas or co2 u decide

hey..i was wondering why did you order your gun all the way from h.k? In case if you need to repair for under warranty service and i believe the shipping cost is a lot .You could get it here at evike(.)com .They are the best warranty service and all the parts for WE scar are available :)
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
Well I have been dealing with Redwolf since I've started playing airsoft about 6 or 7 years ago, they have great customer service , extremely fast reasonably priced shipping not to mention the gun was 40 dollars cheaper ! Also they have a point reward system in which the more ya spend the more points ya get which translates being able to redeem them for certain products such as pistols , rifles , aeg's , accessories , etc.
xxthedrizzlexx 2 years ago
yea..i see your point ,do you get free shipping for this gun and did the gun come with orange tip ? i believe no need orange tip in asia country which is very nice :)
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
unfortunately no .

I have number 418 if that helps
xxthedrizzlexx 2 years ago
May I ask who's the dealer from whom you made your purchase?
WEairsoft 2 years ago
Hello, how can I tell what generation my scar is ? I was told it was gen 3 by the retailer, but before I go ahead with Co2 I'd like to be 100 percent sure its able to handle it . Thanks
xxthedrizzlexx 2 years ago
Hello..For the new plate has reinforced steel ribs inside now. Where can i buy it from ? Will you guys make this upgraded parts for which located metal port attached to upper receiver tide with screws ,if you can made this part for reinforced steel that would be really great also for to handle recoil .Would you recommend if i apply some gear grease on moving parts such as trigger group , return spring and bolt carrier group .Because those silcone oil spray are not last longer after a few days .
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
You can get it from most of our authorized dealers. Not sure what you're talking about "metal port attached to upper receiver...??" Yes, a little bit of gear grease in the trigger group will work fine.
WEairsoft 2 years ago
ty for reply , the part that you put in stock plate between upper receiver and the stock plate .thx!!!
AiRsOftsHooTeR29 2 years ago
Has the SCAR been fixed. Such as the stock will no longer break or the other problems
TheMrt800 2 years ago
YES, indeed, the stock end plate issue is now rectified. The current plate is now thicker & reinforced with steel ribs inside to handle the extra recoil from the bolt when operates with Co2

Will a separate lower for the scar be available to swap between the SCAR-H and SCAR-L like the real gun? If not I believe that's a good a idea.
M16soldier 2 years ago
It's a bit too early to reveal, but yes we're working on that idea. Thanks again for your suggestion!
WEairsoft 2 years ago
Are the mags for the Scar H going to be more expensive than the Scar L mags and if they are by how much (ball park guess is fine).
SpecterMk23 2 years ago
Don't think the "H" mag will be any more expensive than the regular L's (or the M4's)
WEairsoft 2 years ago
when should we expect the new version to come out ?
xxthedrizzlexx 2 years ago
If you're talking about the fixing of the little issues the SCAR-L had before, then the 'new', improved version is already shipping. If you mean the SCAR-H, then it is not yet available; probably for another couple months.
WEairsoft 2 years ago
Okay great what steps would i need to take to place an order for a black scar -L through you ?
xxthedrizzlexx 2 years ago
how much one of these guns cost?

I still got one. I bought a CO2 mag aditionally becuase there is green gas mag included. The internals are made CO2 ready at the AWSS version onky, not on the regular WE SCAR.
KdoSpezKr 2 years ago
AWSS Version oder regular one?

Is it correct, that a black AWWS SCAR is going to be released?

The black AWSS SCAR is already released & on the market.

what's the difference between the eotech 553 and 551? is the 553 bigger or something?
ARX7ARBALESTZ7 2 years ago
551 is smallest but uses the small button batteries which are hard to replace the 553 uses AAA batteries but is bigger and the 556 is much bigger bit is more ridged with less curvy lines and uses AA
SaltyCrackah 2 years ago
you mean the N battery or the like watch type battery? if it's the N type those are no problem for me. how much bigger is the 553?
ARX7ARBALESTZ7 2 years ago
Unfortunately that is not correct... the EO-Tech 553 uses the CR123A battery (not the AAA).

Are MP5's and AK's in WE tech future?
WarpathX 2 years ago
Do they make a longer barrel for this gun? if so where can i find it?
AirsoftMaster45 2 years ago
im pretty sure it takes AEG barrels, in which case you can just get an A&K outer barrel for cheap and then fill it with an M4 length inner barrel
airsoftermatt22 2 years ago
It takes no AEG inner barrel. due to the new designed hop up unit. You have to use WE M4 barrels if available!
Outer Barrel is nor problem, but I do nit know if it is 14mm- oder 14mm+.
KdoSpezKr 2 years ago
really? i thought the new hopup was designed around AEG barrels for simplicity...
guess theres only one way to find out.

Will the WE AWSS M4 Stainless Steel Reinforced Complete Nozzle Assembly (Locking Valve Design) from Evike reduce the FPS? I am not sure where to find the TSC valve that you are talking about.
