hey i've been playing guitar for about 3 years now and yes i can follow some songs by looking at the tabs and chords but still not good in strumming but im more into plucking and definitely cannot play by ear. Well i have a question for you when did u start playing guitar? did u play like non stop? do you play by ear now? im just curious cuz i really wanna learn asap and it looks like im on my limit cuz i cant do anythin else but to depend on chords and tabs
Just keep trying to play along with songs that you like, and for a lot of them with trickier strumming patterns you'll just have to start slowly and do it over and over until you become comfortable with the pattern. I did that with Green Day's Good Riddance. It gets easier as you go I got my first guitar on my 16th birthday, I played a lot but typically no more than an hour or 2 per day, and I can usually figure a song out slowly by ear and once I get a good enough feel for it I can play along.
@0AnimeMania0 Get a metronome. Start off slowly, and once you perfect your playing at that speed, move up a couple clicks. Also, as boring as they are, method books work wonders. Important: Don't rush your playing. Don't move on to faster or more difficult songs until you are completely comfortable at your level. If you want to improve greatly, you need to spend at least a couple hours a day practicing both sitting down and with a strap.
@raminuxxx I uploaded this when the longest a video could be was 10 minutes, and this was originally 1 video combined with part 2 of this series. So, I had to split it in half and post them separately, hence parts 2 and 3
WOW! Great playing and great video man, I watched them all. I was looking for some beautiful acoustic riffs to play, and these are the videos I was just looking for, now I've got a few songs to learn, thanks! :)
You would maybe like to learn these riffs (the first one isn't actually acoustic, but sounds great):
Nice lineup and everything. Loved each vid. I personally would have put You and Me by Lifehouse, but I know you don't have every song archived into your brain. Nice. (Subbed)
Great Job, remembering the right notes for ALL of the songs probably wasnt anywhere near easy. On a more personal note, nice guitar, I have the same one, only blue, with gold hardware. I would recomend "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche, it is easy to play and remember, and sounds great.
Really?? Credited Puff Daddy equally on the Police's song?? LOL! I'm cool with Puffy and all, but I'm pretty sure he didn't have anything to do with that guitar riff.
i need help, if anyone noes the title of this song or who even sings it please tell me. It is acoustic and the lyrics are kinda hard to understand, but i made the beginning out a bit "what a perfect time of year" the chorus of the song is real hard to understand cuz the guys singing real fast. Oh and at one point the guy says " I got you to say underwear". if anyone knows the song please TELL ME!
hey, if anyone is looking for a really fun song to play, search 'Santeria' by Sublime. its on an electric, but it sounds great acoustic, too. And yeah, i know, its Skaa, but its still good guitar.
haha I had been playing about 4 years when i made this video, but unfortunately I barely know any of these songs in their entirety, I just learned short parts for the video
I probably do 90 % of them. I do song covers, just guitar, feel free to hit my site then go to song list if you want to see some of them. I have over 100 in my song list. Keep up the good work. It's very much appreciated, you gave me some ideas.
@Canadianchill I wish i had time to learn the entire songs, but for the sake of the videos i just learn the riffs (unless I really like the song, then i probably learn the whole thing)
Lol, Really surprised to see Emily by From First To Last... Sunny Moore can't sing, so no matter how good the guitar is, it's hard to listen to :P lol.
Redemption Song by Bob Marley (Y) Win.
Saw a couple others that are awesome. Like the list at the end lol :P
It's strange to see that you have a FF poster and you did not include any songs from their great album In your honor. Apart from that, I think the idea is great and you are pretty good, 4 stars! keep it up
and the Dire Straits?!?!?!?
