@HapaPapa772 When Stephen J. Cannell developed The A-Team, he wanted Dirk Benedict to play the role of Face. However, NBC wanted Tim Dunigan to play Face, so Cannell followed network orders. When NBC saw the err of their ways (even Dunigan knew it as well), they let Cannell put Dirk Benedict in as Face. The pilot, which aired Jan. 23, 1983 was supposed to be aired after Super Bowl XVII, but got moved to Jan. 30 due to the player's strike in '82. Children Of Jamestown was Dirk's 1st episode.
@TheSteelersrock1010 Movies were scheduled to compete against stronger first-run programming (or Monday Night Football). NBC has Sunday Night Football right now. Otherwise, movies were one of the old time TV standbys replaced by these infernal reality shows, smh.
I have seen every single episode to this great classic 1980's TV series. However, I did not really care for the major motion picture based off of it that came out last year. I felt as if they were doing things all wrong and they pretty much killed it for me when the van was destroyed.
That intro was amazing for the Sunday Night Movie, boy those were the days!
