the only good thing i get from this scene is that even he's drunk, he knows that it's peyton whose just kissed him and told him he loved him, even though she's turned around when he opens his eyes, if he REALLY loved lindsay, he would have been hoping it was her

Omg, luke is such a dick for saying he hates peyton. it wasn't her fault, lindsay left him - peyton went to a wedding to watch man she loved get married to someone else and feels like its all her fault that it didnt work out. and she loves him so much that watching him suffer like that actually hurts her. she willing to put herself through all that and luke goes and gets drunk and says i hate you to peyton. i know he dont mean it but still. the way peytons faces drops - heartbreaking. xx

As much as I would like to slap Lucas in the face for what he said to Peyton on the last scene I just knew that he could never ever hate Peyton--because the underlying truth is that he hates himself more for being an ass, he had to hurt Peyton and Lindsey again in the process of realizing he never stopped loving Peyton. I'm soo glad he followed his heart and chose Peyton
