Actually the red army at the time was HEAVILY supplyed with weapons,fuel & supplys from usa & europe, plus Stalin & communisum was VERY disliked by the russian people at the time. Churchill after berlin fell was demanding that the allied forces push on into russia & deal with communisum then & there he also wanted to go like a torch through the middle east, but everyone after all the fighting was exausted & wanted an end to it then thus churchil lost the following election for prime minister.

@ronny5001 If the allys had pushed on to russia after cutting off their supplys the russians would of rizen with us to overthrow communsim at the time and the still loyal troops would of run out of supplys no longer being supplyed by the allied naval supply convoys within weeks... all hindsight i guess...

But to think if they had listened to churchill and pushed on we wouldent of went through the cold war or have the trouble in the middle east that exists today... he had amazeing forsight...

Think of it this way. As of Victory Day 1945, approx 75 - 80% of Germany's armed forces were facing the Red Army. About 15% facing the Allies, and the rest in other theatres. If the western allies attacked Russia, the Red Army would have been at the English Channel in a month.

we were very lucky to have held out in the battle of britain, over 3000 luftwaffe aircraft compared to our 600 fighters!! it was a close thing!!

@goldyn12345 not really luck. wen they lost a plane they lost the crew. if our pilots were lucky enough to survive getting out of the plane they could fly again. the most luck was the bombing of civilian targets. tht led to us bombing berlin and hitler telling goering to change tactics. with tht the 109's combat duration was cut again due to the daylight bombing of london. same thing happend wen we started offensive operations against germany

My Grandad was in WWII and got stuck in Dunkirk and the Ship he should have been on got blown up!

He told me many war stories while I was growing up... RIP Grandad.

But, only in Poland, the nazis killed more Jews than in The Netherlands. About75percent of the Duch jewish population...

But about life under the nazis... Never heart of Anne Frank? besides her dairy There is a lot of documentation about dayly life under the nazi-regime.

Actually it was Winston Church Hill who wanted the west to keep marching till they hit Moscow and as for Macarthur he was quietly discharged for the fuck up in Korea, The US was running up the trail stretching out the supply line then the Koreans and Chinese came out of the hills and all hell broke lose.
