ps:i saw u laying down on some awesome board games like descent, betrayal at house on the hill ,dracula etc....A presentation on these babies would be extremely much appreciated.....(especially if theres a 'Gears Of War' or a 'Doom' hidden somewhere inside that pile of yours!!!!!
just started watching about 5 min. in already i can say, good job on going over the game. i bought it already but just wanted to see if any one had something to say on it. Thanks for simplifying things
Thank you sabergeek for ur help. Okay it zombie turn and we are on the same square as a hero, can the hero uses it gun or just regular 2 dice and zombie 1 dice and again Ty sabergeek
@raymondmtz A hero uses a gun on a hero's turn, not a zombie's turn. But it doesn't matter if they are on the same space or not. As long as they aren't farther than the range, or out of sight. Then they can also do a normal attack.
How many event card can a zombie and hero play per turn? Also I know zombie draws 4 card in the benign but after that how many?4? Until I have 7 than start discarding?
@raymondmtz A zombie player draws until they have 4 cards. So if you have 2 at the beginning of the turn, you draw 2 more, as that will give you a total of 4. You can play as many cards as you want as long as you are able to meet the requirements of the card.
Last question how does the roll work if the hero got a gun? Like if the zombie still roll right or as long hero gets a hit? I don't know how to explain myself I'm new to this game played it like five times and I still got a lot of questions and thanks a lot who answer my queation
@raymondmtz Using a gun is not a normal attack, so the zombie doesn't oppose. You just follow the rules on the gun itself. For instance, the revolver says something like, "Roll a D6, on a 4+ the target is hit. On a 1, you run out of ammo". So you roll the D6. If you get a 4 or higher, the zombie takes a hit. If you get a 1, you lose ammo (Or the gun itself if you have no ammo)
ok heres a few questions my gaming group has for you guys. (we play this game 3-5 times a week. VERY fun)
during a fight...zombie rolls a die and hero rolls a pair of dice....do you add the heros die together or pick the biggest number? also if the zombie rolls a 3 and the hero rolls (2) 3's (doubles kill zombie) since its a tie. even with doubles, who wins?
@xATxCody Zombies always win on ties, unless an item of character says otherwise. Combat always compares the highest die roll. So it would be 3 vs 3, and the zombies would usually win that. Unless the Human character has something saying they win on ties. Make sense? The best questions to get questions answered is boardgamegeek(dot)com. Very active community of helpful people.
where's the spot in the rulebook that says town centre starters get a card? Not doubting you - I just missed that one! (I gave the kids a runthrough game tonight as I simoultaneously tried to pick up the rules) Love these boardgame how to's, thanks a bunch!
@rotamina In the book FlyingFrog has online, it's on Page 7 Under "Draw and Place the Hero Characters": "If a hero's start: building is not present on the board, the model is placed in the center space of the Town Center Board, and as a bonus, they start with a free Hero Card drawn from the top of the Hero Deck."
Interesting question. First, they are two very different games. The company that makes LNoE actually makes a game called A Touch of Evil that is considered like a "Lite" version of Arkham Horror.
But to compare these two. LNoE is an everyone vs 1 other player (Sometimes 2 players), whereas Arkham Horror is everyone working together. Also, this game isn't as "difficult" as Arkham Horror when it comes to winning. Someone will always win, obviously. AH is hard to win at times.
AH takes up a LOT more space than this game does. It's also a lot more abstract. But the same "move, pick up card, use against evil" mechanic is there.
Basically, I think this game is easier for a group of non-gamers. It also doesn't have the doom and despair style of AH. But they are both terrific games in their own right. Part of AH's is that it's going to be challenging to overcome. Everyone HAS to work together.
Your opinion will probably be based on the type of challenge that you like.
Currently looking to get my friend a game for Christmas. She is just getting into board games, she currently has and enjoys 'Zombies!!!' and 'Betrayal at House on the Hill'. Would you recommend this for a third buy? I was also looking at 'War on Terror' for it's humour. Thanks.
Based on the selections that you say she has, I think that LNoE would probably be a safe bet. I haven't played War on Terror, however. Betrayal is a solid game, and relies on atmosphere as much as LNoE does. I really think LNoE is a step up from Zombies!!! in many ways. Though it's obviously not as light as Zombies!!!
I'm not sure of any game stores in Colorado. Maybe someone can help you with that. In the mean time, I really can't recommend Thoughthammer enough. They are great people, you rarely have to pay tax, and while you have to pay shipping, their costs are generally below anything you will find in a local game shop. My local shops are really hit or miss as to what they carry.
well done guys .... soooo glad i found this ... helped heaps ..... BRAINS!!!!

You might check any local comic/gaming stores that you have around you. But I doubt you would find a copy at any big box retail stores.
