wow....I thought DJing and sampling were interesting ways of creating music....the only instrument in this whole piece is a guitar! The guy is using his hands as a trumpet! And the bass singer sounds like an actual bass guitar! Dang...this is amazing!
What a rhythm engine! In the 30s and 40s, there were two main havens for top-flight rhythm guitarists: the great swing bands . . . and the Mills Brothers quartet. Somebody needs to write in earnest an article titled "All the Mills Brothers' guitarists." Besides John, Jr. and Norman Brown, there were several accompanists used from time to time, all of whom were - like this gentleman - absolute masters of their craft!
