I rescued a turtle from a pet store. He was kept in a tiny ten gallon aquarium in ice-cold water and was floating upside-down. I held him under my shirt against my skin to warm him up. He peed on me and it was like ice-cubes on my skin. When I put him in his new home, he spent the next week under his heat/UVB light and never moved. Finally, he perked up and began to swim and eat. My husband said I only encouraged the pet store by buying him. I get so frustrated. I wish there was more I could do.

The eye caps will come off with the next shedding, or, they can be carefully removed by hand if the snake holds still long enough to keep a damp towel on them for a few minutes. It doesn't really impede the snake's ability to eat, if it's fed properly, of course. It still detects prey with tongue & heat detectors.

The investigation ended with the largest animal seizure in the country and the manager lost his job.

i have taken a few vet classes and have been breeding snakes since i was young as a hobby and the snakes that are swisting and spinning have a Terrible terminal disease called IBD a.k.a inclusion body disease and it is highly contagious and any reptiles in the general area are more than likly infected and will die just like the ones u see i THANK GOD this place is closed

@celyncapo i think they do it as an act, so if the other employers see they wont fire them right away, they needed a low profile and to stay long enough to get all the footage and after they show it at court. its because of them that this place was shut down at the end of 2009

It's just horrifying to see that they couldn't even tend to the needs of reptiles. Snakes are relatively speaking very easy pets, far easier then a dog or a cat.
