  • Reminds me of an apartment in Tokyo, Japan. Some can be really small. :)

  • try other cruise line, RCL is increible

  • @jtoache I plan on it! I've heard RCL is great!

  • @vckykub is great and Princess cruises too, anythink foir anybody

  • you must travel in another cruise ship

  • how was your trip? was room service extra? or did you use it?

  • @mamasuzie Cruise vacations are always fun! I didn't use room service... I was out of the room as much as possible.

  • hey how's carnival inspiration i,m going s a chef de partie on board n this is my first time!! i hope the cabin are nice for the cew!

  • thanks for sharing... cool vid! I cant wait till my cruise on the Miracle in July!

  • @christadv I hope you enjoyed your cruise!

  • Hello I love to watch peoples vacation and I go on a lot but you need to work on your presentation, if someone wants to go on a trip you sound a lil scary, anyway I always have a lovely time cruising and I been on 9 I go on one cruise a year, I also go to Las Vegas once a year, but keep practicing you'll get better.

  • @Synnsational Haha, thanks for the constructive criticism! I made the video with the intention of only sending it to a few of my friends who had questions about cruising, but decided to post it here never expecting it would receive almost 30k views. I travel a lot but it was my first "presentation"... if I ever make another one I'll be sure to not be in my pj's and actually plan what I'm going to say. Thanks!!!

  • My friend stayed in a cabin like this last year. I thought it was very nice too. This year me and some friends booked this exact same group of cabins because it's cheap but still very nice.

  • Enjoy! The lower-priced cabins are more than adequate, especially since only a limited time is spent inside.

  • FYI on the life jacket it is not a breathing thing that you said...its a light that blinks as soon as it gets wet so they can see you if you fall in.....so i dont recommend tryin to breathe with it...lol

  • Haha, I know... I can't believe I said that!!! I know better, it doesn't even make any sense! I'll just blame the long days, the bright sun and the vacation-high I was on!

  • u had a very nice room

  • I know... it's the nicest room I've had on any Carnival cruise!

  • good for u :D

  • wow, your room is actually very nice for what you payed.

  • I agree!

  • I've never been on a cruise, I'm scared of getting sea sick...your thoughts?!

  • Have you ever been out on a smaller boat? If so, did you get sea sick? If not, maybe it's something to try to see how your body reacts. I've always been fine with the exception of the last day on my first cruise... we were coming back to Galveston a day before Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. And even then, I just felt a bit nauseaus, nothing that stopped me from enjoying the last day. And a lot of those that do get sea sick seem to function well using the motion sickness patches & tablets.

  • And maybe try taking a shorter cruise first, like an evening cruise if you live near the water or a 2-3 day cruise if it takes a bit more effort to get to a boat/ship. Chances are you'll be fine and cruising is something I think everyone should try.

  • well if u get sea sick i did i just got used to it or try to bring some motion sickness pills and the cruise provides people with patches to put on the back of your neck

  • @jmccreay824 It depends on how sensitive you are. For me, I just felt the waves for the first dinner and after that, I didn't feel it. You get use to it very fast. Also, in my opinion, the bigger the ship, the less you feel it because it doesn't move as much. But just incase, pack some type of motion pills of patches but I don't think you'll need it. =]

  • My first carnival cruise....

Let's see there were drugs stashed on board, a severe tropical storm, puking, the ship was damged, you couldnt go up on deck

    It was fun

  • carnival cruises r rotated around hard partying and young people royal carribean is for leasurly entertaining fancy vacations but theyre way mre expensive carnival is cheeaaapppp but thts a good thing i like carnival

  • wat can you bring from home like soft drinks?? and if you want breakfast in bed is it extra money or how does it work??

  • You can bring canned and bottled sodas, bottled juices and bottled water on board. I don't believe Carnival sets a limit on the amount you can bring on, only that it can't be an 'excessive' amount. The most we ever brought on was a 12-pk of cans and a 6-pack of bottles of soda and a small case of bottled water. It's very easy to re-fill the water bottles on board. And from what I remember, room service is free but you should tip the person that brings it to you.

  • And Carnival provides water, juices and coffee for free at the fountains, so you'll never go thirsty.

  • I've been on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Everyone I know who has done Carnival AND Royal Caribbean says Royal Caribbean is a big step up. It's like comparing a WalMart to a Macys.

  • Yep, I've heard that before but I've been more than happy with my experiences with cruising on Carnival. For the most part I stay out of the cabin and keep busy on the deck, at the shows, in the casino or out on excursions when in port... all those things have exceeded my expectations. One day I'll definitely try Royal Caribbean, but for now cruising Carnival has proven to be a reliably fun time for less the cost the same trip would be on RC.

  • I'm going on Carnival in a week, thanks for the video...hope to keep myself busy with activities.

  • Nice Video!

wasn't threre a liitle window in your room?

  • No, I spend very little time in the cabin when I cruise so I don't spend the extra money for a tiny window.

    :)

  • OMG $1.75 FOR A SODA

  • lol you know it and dont open that water thats sitting right on the counter. it's very expensive lol

  • Yeah... we pack our own water and a few sodas... the rest of the time we're drinking from the free juice, water and coffee fountains. No way will I pay for soda and water on the ship!

  • lol yep. thats what my mom is gonna do for us. i think we're gonna have a suitcase filled with water and soda lol. we'll have to put fragile on it then

  • RCCL IS BETTER CARNIVAL SHIPS R OLD

  • Some of Carnival's ships may be older, but RCCL only sails one ship from my departure port to the same destinations as Carnival for a few hundred dollars more... while it's true that you get what you pay for, I am content with my experience on the 3 Carnival ships I've cruised. Nothing bad to report on the rooms, the food, the entertainment, etc... nothing but great experiences and wonderful memories.

  • Oh, and I'd love to one day cruise with RCCL and some of the various other lines; I do realize Carnival is not the be all and end all. Thanks for your comment. :)

  • Thanks. I've always wanted to know what it was like on a cruise ship.

Also the beginning confused me for a moment since you were facing a mirror hehe

  • Great video. We're going on our fifth cruise in July on the Carnival Splendor. It never occurred to me to make a video like this, it gives a lot of great info to people who haven't cruised before!

  • Thank you! I just did this video on a whim for a couple of friends; I never thought I would post it and share!

  • hey i have a silly qustion, me and my family we are first time cruises, and we will for sure be takeing this same ship. but i want to know what did you all have to do on that safety drill, i cant really find a whole lot of info on it lol.

  • For the safety drill you grab the lifejacket from your room and head to the theater(s) or Lido deck where you go over the safety training and then you head to your assigned muster stations (where you would directly go on the ship in case of emergency). Takes about 20 minutes. The worst part is that when you're at the muster station you're crammed in with what feels like a billion other people, but it helps to aquaint you with the ship.

  • dont forget about that very loud continous bell lol.

  • Victoria,

thanks so much for your video. my daughter (15) and i are looking to take our first cruise. we dont travel much (single mom) and dont have much money and were trying to figure out if we could deal with the cheapest room. Your video helped a lot.

Do you have any pointers as far as price or where to get good deals?

    Dee

  • Have fun!

  • I'm going on a Holland America cruise later this month..I'm so excited!

  • well it depends on what type of package u bought i bought the full package so i get it free and im going on the carnival ecstacy

  • im going on my 1st cruise next year. i was wondering-is there a fee for them bringing you breakfast in bed (or other room service options)? do you have to pay for your meals? im going on the carnival victory and i was wondering how cruises work.

thanks! like the detail in ur vid!

  • i like the carnival victory

  • i love ur video. u told me every detail i need to know for next year when i go on a cruise. where did the ectasy take you to?

  • The ship traveled to Progreso and Cozumel. I've been to both before on the Elation (& Belize during that cruise). Although Progreso is not (in my opinion) the most exciting destination, I thoroughly enjoy the perks of cruising... the sun, the fun, the relaxation, the excitement, the food, the casinos, the entertainment and I could go on and on.

I also went on the Conquest last fall and traveled to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel... all 3 beautiful destinations.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  • I liked very much your Carnival Cruise Cabin video, you know i`m a latin(peru)girl who`s gonna work in carnival ecstasy from next august..it gave me a view of what i`ll have there, what`s your position?it`s not supposed that bedrooms are for 2 people or more?..plz comment ....thanks bye...EVELYN

  • Evelynn ~

I just saw your comment about working on the Ecstasy (sorry, I don't check my videos often at all).

I didn't work on the ship, I just like to take cruises. I've met a few people that really love working on the ships and I've met a few that were just counting down until their time was up, so I guess you'll have to let me know which type you are once you're on the ship!

    Good luck!

    Victoria

  • Great Video! You are a great tour guide to show your cabin!
