@2fresh2fabulous i just framed it out with 2 X 6 lumber and got an ice hockey tarp. I think from tarps.com, the whole setup cost around 300 bucks but i use it every year so its worth it. its really easy to do and maintain.let me know if u got any question and good luck
buy a big tarp. or 2. set up boards with 2x6's or 2x8's run the tarp underneath the boards and let it snow a couple times then start to flood until you have about 3-4 inches of ice.
Where on LI? I live in St. Louis, but grew up in Hauppauge (Suffolk)...My 5 year old son is playing ice hockey here....your son does well...how did you get the pool to completely freeze? All the best. Sue

its not a pool i built a 40x30 ice rink for him to practice on. Worked out very well if only it got colder again.
