dood the R34 is perfect for drifting. RWD RB26DET-T with little to no mods is perfect man. whats not perfect for drifting is the BNR34 AWD RB26DET-T Skyline neither is the Nismo Z-Tune Skyline. But if can get your hands on either one its best just to keep it stock.

Pretty sure the RWD R34's are delivered with the neo RB25DET, not the GT-R motor, but yeah both are beautiful cars in different ways. You could put the RB26 in, but why bother, right mods the neo will serve just fine

really ive never heard of a single turbo rb motor. i thought they came twined. but then again dont they make the rwd r34 in the GT-R modle?

Yeah the vast majority of skylines in general are delivered with single turbo motors, known as the GTS-T, these are entirely RWD. GTRS come with the slightly larger twin turbo engine and are primarily AWD, however they can be tuned so they are heavily biased to rear wheel drive (90/10% split power to rears). Older skylines come with RB20DETs, and GTRs can be 4 wheel sterring. A GTS-T is the better drifting base due to only RWD, and still can easily make more than enough power to drift with.
