1. what a shame to see aussie flags just sitting in the sand. how disrespectful.
2. WOW. theres a lot of fat people in australia. and i thougt california was fat?
3 . this isnt meant to be disrespectful, but how can aussie possibly go around carrying a flag that has the union jack on it? how do you justify to yourselves that the queen of england is head of state of your country? i bet any english person watching this is pretty amused at the union jack being displayed on AUSTRALIA DAY!
No, I don't eat McDonalds all the time, I do however watch American television (because there isn't much else to watch), and I don't care when they talk like Americans, because they are Americans. But the American way of dating is just completely stupid. It's 'Day/Month/Year' not 'Month/Day/Year'. And all you've done with you're comment is to make yourself sound like a pompous dick.
... If I ever decide to leave America, I have it narrowed down to three countries I'd move to: Australia, Canada, or Japan.
Australia's got nice enough weather, though it has bad weather days like anywhere else. I speak passable Japanese. And Canada's close enough. Those are the reasons I narrowed them down as my places to permanently relocate if I leave America. Obviously, I can only choose to go to one... That's why I'm stuck here. I can't decide where to go!
thankfully this year there were no racist pigs up at our beach place this year. no one called us un-Australian or not real Aussies because we were European looking,
unlike last year. we left our holiday half day early because we couldn't stand being looked at by dick heads saying we shouldn't be celebrating because we're not real Australians and to stop waving our Aussie flags
we are all Aussies if we love this country no matter where we or our families may have come from or how we look.
Tazmania caused your hair to grow wildly and a bit devilish!!! Grrrr Happy Australia Day!!! (a little late) Beautiful BEACH!!!!! Why so few people in the water?
Just a question. In the Northern Hemisphere we can keep the winter blues at bay with "holidays" such as Christmas and Valentine's Day. How do you people do it?
Hmmmmmm!!!! I always thought that Australia Day was about all races in this country coming together to celebrate the Wonderful place we live in I'll share a beer, a burger and time with anyone and any race.
no not all races celebrate, the aborigines rant and rave about invasion day..they are sitll not over it!! "We will not celebrate invasion day" on facebook...there's heaps of racist comments on there, particularly prior to our last Australia Day!!
Did you see any maps of Tasmania? The one in my GPS isn't the one I was after. Also you could be the next Chris Franklin, find the right song and you already look the part.
I just keep to myself on Australia Day... I mean I could probably go out and not get my head kicked in, but the occasion doesn't mean enough to me to really run the risk.
I've always had a greater affinity for Anzac Day and Remembrance Day ... maybe that says something about how much of a party animal I'm not.
is this a stereotype, lol i didn't know we had rastafarian hair cuts, but on another note i dont really get the idea of flag waving or posting it all over ourselves, i see it as more of an american thing as trying to be over patriotic, i mean if your a proud Australian you shouldn't need to try sum that up in flag waving or re-assure it to everyone around you, i mean cmon if your a true aussie a day at the beach or with family or bbq etc.. any celebration of our nations day is surely enough aye?
yeah i agree, its a bit over the top but really why?. i love my country that doesnt mean i have to prove it to some random asshole that might notice what im wearing for about 5 seconds, it just seems insecure.
And it also marked the "I've been subbed to Angry Aussie for 1 year milestone". Last years Daz the Bogan video I watched was the first one ive watched :D
Didn't it feel creepy filming people on the beach? And cronulla has gone back to being like 100% white cos of all that. And yeah they were tools but so were the guys walking around calling chicks sluts cos they wore a bikini. Just saying.
@000Caitlin000 they did more than that how about when they attacked our life guards?? how would you feel if people no matter where they came from started attacking the people that already have to risk their lives to protect you regardless of your skin colour or nationality they should have shown some respect to our culture in the first place
Ok maybe I wasn't clear....i was saying that they provoked the riots in the first place. So I don't see why you're getting defensive. I'm saying what you're saying.
Sounds like you are trying to defend your dicheadory, because you were perhaps one of those morons who were part of the riots.
People get beat up all the time for doing their jobs. It makes no sense to just bash up all the wogs just because the guys who beat up a lifeguard were wogs.
Ha yeah I was about 16. Not to mention a girl. Plus I live North shore. So no I was not part of it. But my cousin lives around there and knows what shits these guys were making of themselves.
Fact is, there were groups of them stirring shit. Not just a couple. You don't go places with a certain culture and then piss all over it. Oh no, girls in bikinis...AT THE BEACH!?
I'm not saying rioting is right. But maybe they should stop thinking they are invincible. Some people punch back.
the cronulla riots where wrong no matter how you frame it from both sides, the 'lebs'/'wogs' and 'aussies' where both the conspiring shit heads behind this, but it was just about revenge, yes you may say that the stick was sharpened at both ends because were stabbing ourselves from trying to get back at them, but it was for a partial justice on account of the life guard that was bashed, the problem was racism, yes as if it weren't obvious enough but these assholes went into gang *CONTINUED*.
*CONTINUATION* mentality and just attacked any one that was even of a remote ethnicity of the assholes that attacked the guard, so innocent bystanders where dragged into this chaos, but what most people dont understand it was an eye for an eye, one act of vengeance deserves another because the life guard WAS racially attacked. But out of all things that happened why did the idiots attack anyone for no profound reason? WHY? . if they were really keen on revenge why not get the right assholes.

There's alot of crap going on in the world, and there always will be.
There's always going to be war, pollution and starvation, so forth. It's human nature to be corrupt but we can be caring. I'm sure it's a too late for the planet though. The damage done is irreversible.
Human's have overpopulated the world, once this world is gone, im sure the human will go too. Unless miracely in the galaxy we're able to find another planet, but what then..end up destroying that planet too?
hmmm well ironically there are racist dickheads who celebrates australia day.
