I do not share all your views, yet I get some sort of understanding from what you're saying. Perhaps people don't want to, but grow up to be racists anyway. Racism has its appropriate and inappropriate sides, and it is hurting the world, like some disease.
I'm thinking we should try to respect each other more, regardless of race, and to some extent; regardless of opinion.
does it really fucking matter waht he said? no!!! it dosn't i'm sure every person who has posted here has either said or thought the N word but i can't say that becasue i might get sued!!! but i can say fag, cracker, ect. and nooooo one cares. hmmmm wonder why? mabye becasue your all close minded!!! open up a little bit. besides you can't sue someone for saying a word
I agree whole heartedly with you R. Redneck. I think they should have got up on the stage and kicked his ass! Thanks for your video. By the way is your neck red?
with the airbag tech we have now cars could be made to be almost impossible to get hurt or killed in ...but that would cost them(car manufactures) too much money...doesnt that suck !!
You guys forget one thing -- the pain that has been inflicted upon blacks. I didn't see one video about the legal woes faced by Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) when white people in his film sued for stuff like "emotional damage". Why wasn't that called frivilous? Why is it when a black American takes a stand, we all become para-legals? I am always against frivilous lawsuits by any member of our society, but it seems to me that when it comes to the defense of blacks, Americans turn the other way.
I haven't paid any attention to Borat at all. I purposefully didn't do a vlog about the Richards incident, because I thought everything had been said. I honestly can't believe those black people suffered any emotional damage from his outburst. If I did, it would be a different story. I'd be happy to take a stand and say that lawsuits for emotional damage from being called names are frivilous, regardless of race, in my opinion. I could be wrong, of course...
I feel that in the YouTube community, people are essentially telling those men to "shut up and sit down, you niggers". Yet, not one comment about the lawsuits facing the Borat movie. I am just shocked that every video response is made by people who have probably never been the target of racism before in their lives. Just look at the video responses. I am seriously considering giving up my account here.
I talked it over with some friends and they agreed that maybe I was more upset at the incident and was focusing too much on that. They agreed that yes is it was frivilous and probably inspired by some greedy lawyer rather than the two defendants. Thanks for responding, Tony! Cheers :)
Pain? Oh, bullshit. We all get shafted in life - What Michael did was completely uncalled for, and his career will be destroyed for it. The only thing going through the minds of those two is how much money they can take from Mike before he fades off into obscurity...
Everyone needs to realize, the world doesn't owe them a thing. There's a freedom of speech. He's a racist asshole - it's not illegal, it just labels you as a racist and an asshole. Now get over it guys.
law suits DO NOT WORK if they end up killing someone because of their own money grabbing nature the is what the police are for, prison is better than a law suit for these people because they can offord to pay whayever it is they get sued for and still make a good profit at the end of the year
Good video. As for the two gentlemen who want to sue... Yes, Richards was out of line, but in no part of the bill of rights does it say you have the right to not be offended. However, if they win this case they've taken away a person's rights to freedom of speech. Well man, I gotta go, my Ford Pinto needs an oil change.
The thing that annoys me the most about morons who try to sue over everything, is that they don't step back and look at the bigger picture. If everyone keeps suing everyone the costs will hit us all. Companies have to make people un-employed, or make their goods more expensive to cover the costs. Eventually it bites you back.
People think boh3m3 is childish and inmature, sometimes he is and that's what makes him funny, plus if you look through his profile you can see that he's really into politics.

"kicked his ass" couldn't that result in a law suit? Or would that be considered a "frivolous law suit"

If the money ended up going to charity the two hecklers would drop their case.
shigsho 5 years ago
Possibly. I can't speak to their motives. They may want to use the suit to punish Richards.

That keeps it fair, at least... Thanks.

Agreed. Not a legal matter, but rather a "racist fuck" matter. I wonder what he would have said if white members were heckling him?

I agree that corporate responsibility should have criminal penalties for criminal acts. We've seen some of this recently with Worldcom and Enron.

Probably the Chinese and/or the Greeks...

Oh, gosh, not the Greeks. Symbolic currency has been used at least 10,000 years, I think, maybe longer.
