its refering to the lifes you play before getting killed. so for instance, you start a lvl and go thru it and get killed, you restart right? when you restart, snake feels like he just had a dream of dying. so ur previeous play is like a dream to him.

@BigUndertaker because the stealth camo doesnt hide heat. so an enemy with infared could still see snake. the cool thing about octocamo is that it matches the heat signature with the area around it, so even in infared you're basically invisible.

the most confusing thing to me in this game is meryl 'cause in MGS1 there were 2 endings and they merdged them in MGS4 because snake knows thaat campbell is meryls father but he only tells you if she died but when she lives snake doesnt know that campbell is meryls father. so the endings in MGS1 were combined in a strange way to have meyl come back but i happy she did cause she's a important character to the storyline.
