@metalforeternity41 Yea, metal may be more technical and fast, but overall it everything sounds the same. also, power chords are one of the easiest things to learn on a guitar. and the fact that you think they suck live, is hillarious and shows your ingnorence in music.

... one of the many things I love about the Crowes is the fact that they allow their shows to be freely recorded and freely "traded". This gives real fans a treasure trove of recordings to collect. You get to hear the obscure tunes and B-sides live. They are, without question and with good reason, my favorite band.
I could go on for days about them... I've seen them many times and look forward to seeing them again next month.
This sure sounds good to me.... loving the vibe, everyones soundin great.... never heard Rich playing so well, and Luther sure is adding some tasty stuff to the mix! Awesome stuff Crowes!

LOL, i never claimed to be a fan of the crowes! nor would i claim to be if i was! whether im an asshole or not, is irrelevant. I never said that Chris or Rich were not talented, they have made millions of dollars doing what they do....just not a big fan of paying to see someone live and hear the brutalize a great song! People work hard to make a living in order to see a concert, why not give them what they come to hear......what is on the CD. thats all im saying, Terrible LIVE in my opinion.
ever considered that he black crowes is a jamband? Just like Gov't Mule for example. People don't go out to see a band live, and see them play and sound JUST like on the album.... why the hell should I go to the concert if it sounds the same on the album?
and on top of that: before the frost/until the freeze was mostly recorded live in the studio ;)

The Crowes are terrible....9 out of every 10 songs he sings completley different from thalbum version.....if i wanted to hear someone trash a song i would sing it myself.....Chris and Rich are constantly arguing onstage...its really embarassing.
@metalforeternity41 Are you an complete asshole?....The orginality every time is what makes this band so special.....stop faking your a fan, and KNWO THE words to their songs so when Chris goes into his groove, at least you can keep up....or go liste to THE JONAS BROS
The Crowes are the best American band of the last 20 years, and they are getting better with each record. They last two albums have been amazing. Great tune, they have so many cool b-sides and covers out there.
I love the album and its funny but i never thought of the Exile comparison but... It fits. This is a great album. I hope the next one has this same type of feel to it. It is very natural sounding. I like the direction that they are taking. I agree with some of the other posters as far as I can tell they Crowes are the only real rocknroll band that we have now.
@nouveaud--I thought Keef was one of the aliens being watched on Men In Black??? ;) If the aliens have Exile, why haven't we seen them yet--that amazing album should have brought them here for the 1972 STP. or the disco tour of 1976...
And, the Crowes ROCK as hard or harder than the Stones...
I only wish they could have found a way to fit this on the vinyl album. At the same time I'm glad I have an album at all. It is in my opinion our generations Exile on Main Street. If aliens visited us and wanted to know what rock n roll was I would give them this album.
@metalforeternity41 real musicians appreciate all music. metal does have it's place but implying that it's the only real music is ignorant.
