ruiz style changed coz he got older & heavier, when he was in the 220's he could get his shots off alot faster. from what i hear, he is back in the 220's again now, so haye could be in for a tough night

& if u look at ruiz record- he can punch! dont be fooled by his boring style, if he lands that right hand he can hurt most guys- remeber he droped holyfield with it!

its a dangerous fight 4 haye, ruiz is very tough determined & experienced

true, but carl thompson was 40yrs old & he ko'd haye...haye has certainly improved alot since then,but it just goes 2 show-u can never discount a tough determined man with alot of experience

i want haye 2 look spectacular, the HW dinision needs a spectacular performance from someone

but in haye's 2 recent fights he hasnt looked that impressive, against barrett he looked uneasy & sloppy at times,& was visibly tired by the 5th,& against valuev he only threw 6 punches a round

Haye beat himself in that fight I watched it live and he just kept trying to knock him out.  Carl can't be knocked out but Haye wanted to be the first and just punched himself out, and got KO'ed because of it.(stupid move) He defo won't do that again, I agree the last two sucked Valuev is still dangerous but if Haye would have commited to it he would have had him out of there! but he played it to safe! I still say Ruiz is and has been a bum for far too long.

actually he's been knocked out 5 times, he was knocked cold by ezra sellers 3years before he fought haye, the 4 others where all before he fought haye aswell

ruiz has an awful style 2 watch, but he's very rugged & awkward, difficult 4 alot of people 2 fight

the longer the fight goes the more dangerous it will be for haye, he has 2 get ruiz out early, or at least hurt him badly early on so ruiz gets gunshy

I still say Haye will bomb him out, Ruiz aint been very good for years. He will defo move and use speed and catch Ruiz with a good combo to stagger him. Should be a good fight.

Ruiz was never the same after Tua took him out. It's unfortunate. He adopted a style fans hate, which undermined his achievements. I mean, the guy did knock down a Holyfield closer to his prime when even Ibragimov couldn't knock down the old Holyfield of today, so the guy has something. But few fans because nobody likes a guy who hits and grabs all night and rarely if ever mixes it up.

this fight was 2 years after the Tua fight. Ruiz started actually getting boring after the 3rd Holyfield fight, because the Holyfield fights were actually pretty tough ones and he started getting a little older by that time.

Still is a top fighter in the division somehow...hell, I thought he beat Valuev when they fought, and gave Chagaev a pretty damn close fight.
