  • I lived in Nagahama 1983-4 as a Rotary Exchange student. Hello to Nakai sensei and Ueno sensei at Nagahama Kita Koutou gakkou!

  • Thank you Gabe! You are glad to still remember Nagahama. Is the senior high school the neighborhood that took a video? Is Lake Biwa-ko near immediately, too?

  • Yes, but I was 17 then and 41 now. Can't remember well, but I remember the castle and beautiful Nagahama festivals! I love Japan!

  • It was good that I made this video. It was good that I could meet you.

  • I enjoyed your video. I lived in Shiga for many years. Your video brought back some nice memories. The food looked so delicious!

  • Thank you shoganaine. Shiga is a beautiful place. I am glad to be able to share your memory. Happy New Year!!

  • One of my favorites! That was awesome...Thank you for sharing. Thank you for exposing me to culture I might otherwise not see.

When watching your videos I often find myself with a big smile.

  • The Japanese culture is profounder. I make a video again while remembering your shock and smile. Thank you Doug!

  • Tina! Thank you. They began to drink beer and liquor in that bus five minutes later and changed like a bar. It is my custom that sit down. The touch of a tatami mat is wonderful.

  • Naruyo, Thank you for taking us on your trip. Everyone on the bus looked so happy. The food looked so yummy but I could not sit on the floor. Thanks for the fun.

  • あなたのビデオを見る喜び。あなたの旅行の私達を取る為に、非常に興味深いありがとう。

Joy seeing your video. Thank you for taking us on your trip, very interesting.

  • Your comment is splendid. Thank you for using Japanese. I am very happy!

  • ohh :) nice, I hope you will like, but it is more oily than yours...

  • it is really exciting to watch your trip:)thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you speedypuffy. I and the daughter will challenge Turkey food tomorrow. I am a pleasure now.

  • Who was that young man? Ha ha, maybe he should have accepted the beer. Beer is good with Japanese food.

    Thank you for the video!

  • He is the staff of the same workplace. He is a very stylish man. He asked me to teach how to make miso soup. And he cooked. He made a mistake in the quantity of the seaweed, and it seems to have followed that it was terrible. He drank beer since he already got on a bus. He was completed. I think that the Japanese food matches beer well.

  • I thought it was funny when you said "I do not deal with rudeness".

  • I do not drink much liquor. Therefore I avoid that it is recommended liquor. Even if it was recommended for courtesy and declined it, I wanted to say that it was not rude at all. Translation of Yahoo acts well. Thank you mongobeens. あれは成功しましたか?

  • Ahhh, I understand now. Hai, it was successful!

  • Interesting trip. It is great you can share it with us. It is fun to be able to see these places and customs.

(and I would love to sit on the floor but I am afraid I would not get back up - ha-ha).

When you turned the pot or cup 3 times in your hand, what did that mean?

    Happy days to you Naruyo.

  • Thank you Nancy. Though there is a rule in tea ceremony, you do not need to mind it. Have time to drink tea. This is basic. But please enjoy not only the tea but also the bowl. There is the front in a bowl. I admire a bowl. And I feel the delicious Japanese sweet happily. It was slightly hard in dry confectionery then.

  • It is so! I found you. hug hug hug.Japan waits for you anytime.

  • Loved it! The restaurant, the building! Everything is beautiful at Japan! You know it's my first dream country to visit? I think it's simply beautiful, all the tradition makes me want to know more and more! Thanks for sharing, i'm lucky that i found you, well, actually, you found me! Kiss!

  • Very nice, this sort of thing interests me! But I don't think I ever could eat sitting on the floor / cushion.. only because I'm used to table and chairs! And I guess we all prefer what we are used to! Glad you had such a nice time.. Rob

  • Thank you Rob. I am used to a chair and a table, but do not feel resistance in sitting on the floor either. I had tea time while looking at the wonderful garden.

  • Good travelling video. I have done a lot of business with Japan, but never visited, and sadly, I do not know much about it.

  • Thank you Em. Japan has a wonderful old house in not only Nara, Kyoto but also each place. I was endowed at an opportunity to visit this Keiunkan in Nagahama and was lucky.
