My families vehicle for 20 years was a 1984 Subaru GL that they bought brand new in 1984. It had 240,000 miles on it when we finally took it to the dump. IT wasn't the engine that had given out, but everything else around it. The doors, the seats, etc. Was a great car though.
When we drove from Utah to Idaho, we never ever had problems in the snow. Great cars.
that underground pond things got me wondering. i guess the moss and crap got so thick, debri, leaves, dirt piled up over the years and eventually started weaving together that grass matt. kinda like an all natural waterbed. cool
Hi there! We have thought about putting a cummins in it, but we put a 390 in it instead, it has massive power, will post a video of it sometime, and yes it is for sale.
Your talking about the crew cab i assume in front of my subaru? It is 390 Cubic Inches is has about 340 horse power. We might consider a trade possibly? Not sure it's my dads. lol He does want to sell it though.
I only like the 80's (esp. early to mid 80's) Subaru models. They are relatively inexpensive, but tend to have the expensive luxury feel compared to any newer cars with the exception of cars like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Never for new Subaru - just drive this one only because the 80's versions have the expensive feel. Newer ones are far too cheap in quality to be beneath anyone's dignity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree. The body styles after this one feel really cheap. This one feels heavy and the steering is exceptional for having 220,000 miles on it!
i love mah little scooby 87 GL FTW

I have noted this is a four door also. Nice! Have you thought about putting a Cummings motor in it? Is this four door for sale, by any chance?

Those are cool little cars. My girlfriend's got the coupe version. Boxer engines sound better than most Japanese 4 cyls.
