  • Wait, let me get this straight: they exhumed 1,500 bodies and moved them somewhere else so that they could build a concert hall on the site???

    Um.....allrighty then...

  • What a way to treat the dead no care when re buried see how the bucket on digger crushes the box I hope this company goes bust

  • I've worked in cemeteries here in Canada, First rate business you have there! I wish I could come work for you guys.

  • that was a good show i liked it thanks

  • very interesting documentary. raised a lot of issues in my mind, but it appears the dead aren't safe anymore. there are several issues. but my top 2 are 1) the mass grave part after all the attention the remains received being exhumed and 2) the asshole GM and his "moderate profit" comment. what an insensitive prick. I understand they're not a nonprofit, but come on!!!

  • very interesting..thank you!

  • I really hate the way the UK has turned out!

  • GREAT DOC, THX GHOSTWATCHING!! FORGOT CAPS LOCK WAS ON...... screw it :)

  • Big thanks for posting. This is a side of life that so many of us would never get to see, or think about.

  • Interesting.

  • what a fascinating documentary , thank you !!!!

  • i think its ok to move em but they should all get there own grave and some sort of marker with there name like they once had, thats what they wanted when alive and thats what they should have. i dont agree with the mass grave part.

  • Very interesting documentaries.

  • I know that when I'm dead my soul will go on but my body's a shell, get rid of it as easily as possible. I only want to be cremated because it would be less expense and trouble for those taking care of it AND I don't take up any room. The living do take precedent over the dead, if I were to be buried I wouldn't mind getting moved. Hey, we need more land, whatcha ya gonna do? But that's just my preferences and opinions, as always. And, as always, thank you GhostWatching, I watch and re-watc

  • Wonderful video, interesting look into a not-well-known profession. These things really are fascinating if we cultivate and encourage that "no nonsense" attitude.

  • oh yah! They all had there own graves and markers just to end up in one mass pit.

  • The song is great!

  • Pray for the dead:

    One Our Father,

    One Glory Be,

    One Hail Mary.

  • Look how gently they use the digger to move the bodies. I really appreciate how much respect they show the dead.

  • throw me to the lions!!!

  • Interesting, a lot more respect and time and effort is put into re-intering the dead than is to be honest strictly necessary, the dead are dead. I wouldnt care less if someone built a strip club over my grave. impressive how humans resect the gone before, then again atheism has its advantages:)

  • Why can't modern people just leave the dead alone and in peace and build their precious real estate projects around them? Investors in a project like this would probably have a completely different attitude if somebody else was about to dig up their grandmother for the sake of making some money! What ever happened to perpetual care that the grave occupant (or their family) originally paid for a eternal resting place? Younger generations think the world began with them and nobody else matters!

  • unless of course you want to build a house their.. :)

  • @MegaTmarshall great comment. When these people died they believed they were being laid to rest for all time and unless there are sound archaeological reasons the dead should be left in peace. Even when they are left though cities are still built on top of the graves which at least still ensures the dead are undisturbed. The dead should stay buried, they certainly paid enough for the grave and just because they are dead does not mean they should not be afforded dignity and respect.

  • I understand the need for excavations but i cannot but help feeling uneasy as these people when buried believed they were being laid to rest for all eternity and would remain buried forever.

  • why would they care.... they're dead.

  • Just think, they might have dug up and moved Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchet.

  • did you all hear what that jackass said its a benifit its total bullshit an excuse that serves no purpose but to flap his mouth off .they bagged the bodies and put them in a wooden crate and dropped them in the ground i live in the us we have to buy the plot then we have to buy a vault to put the coffin in or they cant be buried ,,what they need to build is a cemetary like an office building with many floors for the caskets this way they wont be dug up and displaced

  • @immaguardian that building would smell BAD

  • The bottom line is as of now the priority is for the living to ENJOY themselves. No matter if it was hallowed burial ground at a church, people need to have some- where more to be entertained. In near future we can fully expect to see corpses fed into machines that will grind them up for cattle or hog feed, (anyone remember "Soylent Green"?), making the dead that much more "convenient" for the living. There is little respect for the unborn or the aged now, let alone the dead.
  • Just cremate me.

  • This was truly interesting and done with keen sensitivity. Thanks for posting.

  • Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...and so it is for the body. No more, no less.

  • why put them in the ground so gently, seeing they are just baged up into wooden crates and dropped in a mass grave like garbage in a landfill.

  • Why can't these people just be allowed to rest in peace. Many of those depicted died of the worst diseses of the time the least they could is to be left in peace.

  • i hate the idea of that mass grave and remains put into polly bags, even if they put each persons bones into a small wooden box and maybe have a Rev,,minister, priest ect at the service then it would change my views on this, but at least they were moved, ive herd of remains just being dumped after there dug up, great video, thanks for posting

  • i used to work with someone who picked up bodies for a living and he said the worst of course were children. There is a high degree of alcoholics he worked with...

  • Even in death, people are getting screwed over because of rich people's greed. They can't even be allowed to Rest In Peace.

  • Very moving how even the digger is made to lay the children in the ground so gently. Living or dead, we are all human.

  • My father is one of those men doing the exhumation work. We still have the VHS this series was originally recorded on but I haven't watched it again in ages. Thank you so much for putting this up here, GhostWatching. :)

  • i have all respect for your father and this coworkers doing this job.

  • Was impressed by the respectful way the remains were treated

  • Wow, great documentary!!!!! I never knew this kind of career exisited. Facinating! Anyone know how I can contact the company? I'd love to give this a go.

  • Somebody knows the title of the song? Thanks!

  • HI the music is by Nomos and the title is called Weary Traveller

  • thank you very much!!! :-)

  • @GhostWatching no actually i think its "Legendary Hero" from Zelda: The Wind Waker

  • @nemesis1982ct I thought it was a good one, I'm learning it myself.

  • Fascinating. Thanks for posting.

  • wow Ieave it at that i think

  • Okay, this has been very interesting!

  • just wanted to say thanks for all your uploads and have you have a merry christmas

  • 5.05 Good plan! They expected 2000 bodies, but there were a 1000 and some what bodies exhumated, but it still took them longer than anticipated (= less provit).

  • very interesting, I wonder if they have this sort of thin in the states. Another great video Ghostwatching

  • Another fascinating doc, Ghostwatching. Thanks so very much!

  • Indeed! Fascinating. Thanks!!!

  • What interesting job they have. Much to much hard work for me though. Thanks Ghostwatching.

  • Yeah, I think I'll stick with graphic design :S

  • this comment did nothing but attract peoples attention to the fact that you are a 'graphic designer'

i'm a graphic designer, and a very successful one at that, but i don't need to advertise it.

no one cares that you're a graphic designer - what a rard.

  • WTF? You just DID! I know that no one cares. I could have said shelf stacking, running the country or picking up dog poop. It's just what I do so why would I put anything else? My comment was a reply the the comment by jlosunday and was meant in now way to 'advertise' myself or 'attract attention' to what I do - unlike someone else's comment. Congratulations on all your success.

  • Thats right, your comment wasn't out of line or anything, this guy is just thinking you were boasting of your work, which you weren't.

You were only putting this line of work in contrast to your own,the next comment could very well have been:"then what line of work are YOU in?"..Dont get bummed out by Youtube everyday heroes.

  • Thanks, his comment did kinda bum me out tho coz I wasn't expecting that sort of response - if any.

  • Dude don't be a negative Nancy:P

  • What a job?!... Think I'll stick with Decorating..LOL tyvm for the upload Ghostwatching!!

  • So you are of the screamish kind eh,one should never be afraid to get your hands dirty, this seems like interesting work, but NOT for everyone I agree.
