@TreViZe2 Ermm Latinate languages Spanish, French, Italian etc. Even Germanic and Slavic languages have been influenced by Latin or should I say Roman, hence Romance.
@BouncePounce Then we can say Laurent Garnier is 'latin dance'? Or maybe Noir Desir is 'latin rock'? Why nobody says that? For the case, I think the term 'mediterranean' would fit even better. Of course the correct use of latin refers to the languajes or cultures that evolved from latin-roman civilization. But the sad but very true thing is that nowadays it has a very different meaning for the public (latin=latin-american).
@TreViZe2 The U.S. government does what it wants when it wants. But objectively now, Indo-Europeans are leaders in culture/s second only to (insert politically incorrect/socially unacceptable term here).
@BouncePounce Well, I'm not a full relativist but everything depend on a lot of things. If I want to have some easy laughs at the cinema and eat a double whopper with chips, American culture does it good for me. And we can't forget about films, almost every master pieces have american passport (or at least, were filmed in America with american money). It's just that I'm tired of that confussion 'Spain / south america' by americans in the internet, so I hate to see 'latin' associated to Spain
@TreViZe2 Well if your Spanish thats too fucking bad, your ancestors raped, slaughtered and assimilated 2 continents worth of original nations tribes. You bitching about wether the term latin is correctly used is fucking arrogant in comparison.
@labalsadeaguirre And you are so well educated that you posted this message three times, why? Looks like I a struck a chord in the peanut gallery. Calm down with that post button little Conquistador. Yes I am Italian like Columbus may have been but he was working for SPAIN bitch. Now run along.
@weatherkop I posted it three times because I just tried to fit the word limit and was not possible, so just trying to write just the important ideas. Ciao berlusconi, ciao roman Circus with lions eating people, you are the one to talk about other's history, oh yeah. BTW, the user issue is fixed just for ur pleasure. bye.
@weatherkop My ancestors stayed in Spain so I live in Spain and not in Argentina or Mexico, dumbass. And by the way, where are the north american tribes? maybe YOUR ancestors slaughtered all of them, and assimilated nothing, because ir was easier. Or maybe they were not your ancestors, and you are just living in the land that other people's ancestors robbed. You should be jealous of it, congrat. Your speech doesn't sound arrogant, it just sounds stupid.
I squatted in London in the early 90's with some Spanish friends who switched me on to this stuff. Unique and brilliant. Relentless!

@BouncePounce
Guy this band is from Europe, so for the general use you make in the U.S. of the term 'latin' (south american mestizo), it doesn't make sense.
