  • But, this is ultra high resolution, the content is the problem, not the tv itself, with that many pixels in the display, you can't go wrong, and think about how beautiful it will be on a home built cinema, or a bar displaying pictures, or music videos!

  • I am legend

  • Piece of shit totaly inutile

  • These are now available at Richer Sounds for £999. I wouldn't have even considered it an option at its original price but at that price its suddenly shot very near to the top of my list of possible choices.

Philips have also released a Blu-Ray player that works with this perfectly because it has a "subtitle shift" option which allows you to move the subtitles off of the black border at the bottom and overlay them onto the viewable screen, as they really should have been in the first place.

  • GREAT review ; I'm not buying it now

  • @bealerDSB They're under £1000 at Richer Sounds now. I dismissed this one before but will probably be getting one now! :)

  • this is now £1600 brand new ... got to be the best buy yet ...

  • @patchwestyorkshire

down to under £1k now that the new 58" 3D version is on the way, gotta be worth a look at that price?

  • @Simonmall719 Especially the fact that 3d tvs have problems,i.e bad headaches, not the same as the real thing in the ciinema e.t.c.

  • Is there a good alternative you can recommend?

  • se colocar hum um filme em dvd normal deve fica com as faixas de sima a baixo deve ficar ruim a imagems mas se ala tiver alto preenchimento

  • Best Brightness EVER!!!!!!

  • @BUBLOOGABLOO Do you work for Philips by any chance?

  • Forget about the crop. Look at the fantastic natural colour display, motion and the real-life looking ACTION!!!!!!!!

Afterall, we do want to be there.

  • True real-life cinema colour always with PHILIPS!!!

  • PHILIPS TVs are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It really looks amazing, but the problem of cropping when watching 16/9 BD films is a difficult task to deal with. I'll stick to my 16/9 Samsung 46" until this one becomes standard. If it ever does.
