But, this is ultra high resolution, the content is the problem, not the tv itself, with that many pixels in the display, you can't go wrong, and think about how beautiful it will be on a home built cinema, or a bar displaying pictures, or music videos!
These are now available at Richer Sounds for £999. I wouldn't have even considered it an option at its original price but at that price its suddenly shot very near to the top of my list of possible choices.
Philips have also released a Blu-Ray player that works with this perfectly because it has a "subtitle shift" option which allows you to move the subtitles off of the black border at the bottom and overlay them onto the viewable screen, as they really should have been in the first place.
It really looks amazing, but the problem of cropping when watching 16/9 BD films is a difficult task to deal with. I'll stick to my 16/9 Samsung 46" until this one becomes standard. If it ever does.
