He wrote many hundreds of songs and was awared a 100th birthday singing in Dallas at about 1986. Thousands of churches of Christ congregations worldwide would take that Sunday to honor this man and use only his songs.
My ggrandmother Panola Lee (Teddlie) Shelton, is a sister of Tillit. My ggrandfather A.M. Shelton baptized Tillit.
