At first I thought Mark Hamill was the voice of Kazuma but I was wrong. He played Goro Majima. Personally, I think the English voice acting sucked because it didn't fit the Japanese setting. Fortunately, Yakuza 2, 3, 4 and the upcoming Dead Souls (JP Of The End) manages to keep the Japanese voice acting

These clips from the recording booth don't seem like the best takes and they don't show Hamill in a good light. Hard to listen to. In his segment of Body Bags about the eye of a serial killer he is great. In jay and Silent Bob also great. And there are enough SW fans directing films that he and Anthony Daniels could work more often. But he never calls us.

Actually, Mark Hamill did quite a few years on Broadway and won awards for his serious acting on stage before going into voice work. Carrie Fisher is a script doctor and has wrote several books. Harrison Ford is the only one who stuck with movies in the spotlight. The others did really good, just not so much in the public eyes so people tend to think they're washed up.

Its annoying how people always compare Mark with Harrison Ford and practically everybody else from Star Wars. Fair enough Harrison Ford was Indiana Jones and starred in many great films (and some bad ones too might i add) , but Mark Hamill was Luke fucking Skywalker and he is the iconic voice of the Joker. As a kid he was my hero, and after all these years its still easy to appreciate the damn fine work he does.

man, to say Mark Hamill is a nobody now is just brainless haha. He's one of the most successful voice actors of today, and voice acting is just as important, and in many ways more difficult, than "regular" acting. He's a HUGE inspiration to me.

A while ago I read a magazine about the Star Wars actors, it was titled "Where are they now?" And they were criticizing Mark Hamill saying that he was a nobody now, just a voice actor. And I thought it was stupid cause you don't have to be on the movies or on the spotlight to be successful!!! I think voice actors have a really awesome job! And Mark Hamill has done one hell of a job!!!

@0oRevano0 Well I read a special anniversary magazine of star wars , in fact I still have it. They had a similar section and labeled him as a "Survivor". All the other minor character actors were labeled simply as Star Wars convention regulars... Such as David Prowse.

I agree. Voice Acting while not as prestigious because your face isn't seen, still requires great talent because the VA has to put all of the emotions into the voice because there isn't a face to express them.

I think his work as the Joker surpasses his work as Luke Skywalker in the star wars series.
