@nascarsignore this race never killed him, people set their expectations too high too soon. being on HMS doesn't guarentee success. just look at the 5 and 25 cars before 2008, it wasnt anything special. the team dale is driving for now is for the most part the 5 team of 2007. they had some success with kyle busch but not much. scattered win here and there. people jumped the gun and just assumed dale jr + hendrick would be the ultimate combination. the 48/24 combo are the top class teams of hms

That was a great win... A side comment is I wish the network would not squeeze in that commercial break from after the win to the circle. I remember the ol' days when you actually saw the driver drive into the winner circle. Now'a days the entire "scene" is setup while they tell the driver to sit in the car and wait for the network to come back :( - I think that the moment loses some of its value because of the network setting up the winners circle scene. my 2 1/2 cents :)
