  • this is the pixel roller. It was developed at the RCA, and it's very real indeed.

    BRING ON THE FUTURE!

  • Wow look at roller

  • it is a shit !

  • la bu ne la

  • THAT WAS SO COOL

  • wow thats so cool... especially that it was frankie munez in it...

  • Thats like.. the best thing since chalk =D but if its paint how does it not cover the parts that have no paint on them. like the eys of the person. =S

  • how do they do that

  • how would a video work with this?

  • That looks like Joe Jonas

  • i think that it's a wall laminate that has phosphors in it. Anytime light hits the wall it is absorbed by the phosphors and it emits a glow. We have something similar at the McWane Science Center where I work.

  • thisnoteislegalksdjfh, dont be an idiot, the individual lights turn on and activate the paint diresctly under them. It tracks position by the varying speeds of the wheels. not too complicated, BELIEVE IT!

if you notice, towards the beginning there is a slight difference in position of glow at the overlap at 11-12 seconds. the whole wall is covered with glow paint. You are STUPID!

  • ur an absolute idiot if u think this is fake go google it ill bet u will find out how it works and all the shit before u just assume its fake like a dumbass

  • ights this is fucking sick.

  • Tá boé ré de fixe.

  • you can tell its legit. you can see the roller flash on and off to highlight the areas it needs to.

  • this is all real, though i have done it myself, but what i am actually expecting from Pixel Rollers is to ACTUALLY dip paint and then draw on a surface the image that is in your computer or implanted in the pixel roller somehow.Call me a moron or whatever but i have done one(actually me and my frieds, coz i myself didnt have a fax hehe)

  • this would be better with music

  • it's real! look at how the last stroke highlighted a part that wasn't there before!

  • nice, but das haltet ja nur 10 secunden

  • actually the light bar modulates shaders on it to produce the image on a flat surface...actually very cool ! I should watch twice before I post !! rad.

  • i agree, very simple.. it's an invertor from a scanner on a handle, the rest is glow in the dark squares stuck on a wall. cool visual effect, but what is so alien or magical about that, simpletons ?

  • I don't care if it's fake, planned, a hoax, or whatever you want to call it. It's till cool as hell.

  • It's alien technology. Do you see the hand is green?

  • haha... love comments like that!!!!

  • all this is is a flat bed scanner head modified from scanning in to output to a grow in the dark screen.

  • What's hard to believe?

They used a phosphorus (glow in the dark) canvas and just shoot light onto it to make it glow...

  • jeux

  • awesome, it must be painted with fluorescent ink! :D

hey hey, do you guys think someone didn't draw this on the computer? the roller is just a printer. Still, a really good printer! awesome job for the designers! :D

  • You sir are an idiot. Why do you think that its fake? Because you haven't seen it before? There is no reason to think this is fake... especially if you actually take some time to read about the technology used.

You are welcome to enjoy your own retardation, but please don't make us suffer through it as well.

  • as much as theres a posibility that its real theres also a possibility that its not real so just cos he (is entitled to his own opinion and so are you) belives that it isnt real doesnt make him a retard and may b in the end it minght turn out fake there for making you look like the idiot.

but like is aid before it minght not be fake and in that case its a waste of resorces because its a prety pointless. its like the lazy mans way to painting a picture.

  • "You are welcome to enjoy your own retardation, but please don't make us suffer through it as well."

    HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. zing

  • Hehe, Versailles, the discussion of "what is art" has gone on for many years and will continue to, Picaso wasn't exactly considered "art" till much later. ^^ Always a discussion that will raise interesting questions.

  • Computer generated "Art"?????? You may be a good 'technician' but not an Artist, maybe I live too far back in the past, but... Oh' well!

  • thats awesome... i just wish i knew how it works....

  • this could be glow paint on a wall that hasnt been exposed to light and the roller is simply a light

  • the picture wears out after a while, i'm guessing it's phosphorescent material being exposed to light, but they have another roller that rolls what looks like normal paint. can't explain that one...

  • holy shit i gotta get one of these

  • how does it work??

long exposure lens? if it woz then his hand would of made it look weird.

    i dunno.....freaky stuff haha :P

  • that's cool

  • that is so awesome

  • i really don't get what it is..

  • freakin awesome!
