SO FUN) Own your euph and forget the bari try hards and wanna be tubas and FORGET those trumpet try hards. The euphonium is THE best instrument of all the brass and perhaps allthe orchestra....... just sayin

  • ((running fast as hell to catch that mushroom before it fall off of the cliff))

    :)

  • What's the key on the saxhorn that's apart from the others by the way?

  • Comment removed

  • love playing baritone/euphonium, been playin it for years, good playing yal are doing

  • Awesome...two guys jamming together, happy days. I also moved from a Bari to the Euph and personally prefer the Bari for all round performance!

  • I play euphonium too :] That'd be a fun thing to do with my euph/tuba friend at a concert. Thumbs up and favorite!

  • Hay if u have the music sheet can u send it to me at zachshuttle1@aol.com or just subscribe me the note names at my account zachs4899 it would really help because I tried to go online but it costs like $5.00

  • very nice harmony :)

  • can get the music for this?

  • where do you find a saxhorn? And this music? Nice harmony

  • although very similar, you can tell by the sound of the instruments when they play....euphonium has more pure, mellow sound while baritones are more bright in sound

  • i only have the baritone. can you still give sheets?

  • I moved to euphonium about 5 months ago, had been playing Baritone for 7 years. Doing my Grade 8 in april :)

  • The Euphonium tends to be really popular with instruments like the trumpet or French horn. In all reality the Euphonium and Baritone are easy instruments to pick up and they play a lot of roles in any ensemble. I personally played Baritone for about six years and just switched to Euphonium in my first years of college. And just recently started playing Tuba and find it to be a good way to extend range both high and low. I've always wanted to play on a saxhorn but I've never been able to find one

  • sheet music pleeeeeease!!!!!!

  • WOW! That was amazing!!

  • @sakume777ruukasu do you play both?

  • sexy

  • I want truck horns that play this

  • @sakume777ruukasu Yes! Switching from the two are very interesting. We do concert season stuff while doing marching season, not to mention parades. It takes a second to adjust your lips to the proper instrument eh? Lol however I'm a weird one,I play treble not bass.

  • @fluter13 me too!!

  • Wtf is the thing on the left?

  • Euphonium is unfourtunately probably the most overlooked instrument of all band instruments..... at least WE know of it's awesomeness.

  • i play euphonium; but mine's four valves.. i can't tell if yours is :/

  • @sexyraawr90210 Its a diffrent version of a euphonium where the valve is off to the side and you have to use your left hand to press it. It helps produces better sounds

  • please oh please send this to me i play the Euphonium in 7th grade

  • i started playing the euphonium like six weeks ago im in 6th grade so far the hardest thing i know is happy birthday haha

  • Echt der hammer!! könnte mir jmd die noten für trompete geben pls

Awesome!! Could someone give me the notes? i would be very pleased

  • I am a baritone/euphonium player in 8th grade and I actually know the difference. I play both actually. Baritone at home and the euphonium at school.

  • @TheFredducky omg i play both, im focusing on the euphonium at the moment though

  • Classic but still amazing

  • Can you tell me the notes.

  • @sakume777ruukasu because ever since 6th grade i was told to call it a baritone never did my band teacher tell me to call it a euophonium

  • And if you're a lucky Euphonium player that doesn't have a Bassoon player in their band, you just might get to play the 1st Bassoon part. ;)

  • Respond to this video... i need help. i play trumpet for an symphony but i want to play baritone but i like playing high melodies on the trumpet but i always wanted to play the bass line if you give me an influence it would really help

  • COOL!!! ^.^

  • NICE

  • EPIC! ^^

  • just learned the euphonium part on this, it's great stuff!

  • I know you say that is a Saxhorn, But what kind? Who makes it, and what is the model?

  • that is fuckin awesome,.

  • Are you playing on a besson prestige euphonium?

  • @Juggalotheonefreak He is! I would love one!! Or I'm assuming it is :p it's either that or the Yamaha Yep-842s?

  • @euphoniumtillidie well considering its like the best horn in the world lol. and costomized by steven mead. im saving up money for one but i want one with black water slides and rotary vaulves (bad at spelling)

  • @Juggalotheonefreak I've bought a york eminence, and compared to the new prestiges, the york blows the prestige away!! Definitely!! I know that prestiges are made with Steven Mead, BUT, before york went bust, David Childs AND David Thornton played Eminence's! I guess it's all personal preference, but I would choose an eminence over a prestige any day!!

  • i bet this would sound really cool if the video quality was better

  • hi, iam brazilian, the i like mario bros, the euphonium i like, no brazil, name is bombardino

  • Darn is this cute!

  • I like it :)

  • does the euphonium use the same fingerings as the tuba?

  • @longboarderer1 Yep, they use the same fingerings. But if a euphonium has a fourth valve, it can make different combinations (the tube on the fourth valve is the same length as the first and the third valve together), or you can just ignore that extra valve.

  • wats a saxhorn??? i play the sax and never heard of this

  • @MrMidget50 , A Saxhorn are a family of instruments invited by Adolphe Sax (from Belgium), and in that family are the flugelhorn, the baritone and the althorn.

The flugelhorn is a sopranosaxhorn, the baritone a tenorsaxhorn and the althorn a altsaxhorn.

  • EPIC

    just bad sound quality tho

  • Besdies that sound quality that was really good guys =D

  • Bravo! Loved it!

  • mega fort c'est top hiha!!! aller je retourne a ma DS

  • I'm 2nd best euphonium in Symphonic and best in Concert

  • 哈哈~好厲害

  • you are so good. i wish i was talented

  • I play the Euphonium...and truth to be told it was really easy to play it,but the high notes are super high!!!

I can never play the high E note

  • @destiny1can1find2you

It's not that difficult, jst practise every day about 15 minutes in the high, and after two weeks you can reach the E note ;)

  • Hahah I guess...but man my cheeks and mouth turns SUPER red!!

  • haha yeah same here. but that doesn't matter, you don't have to be good looking when you're playing :P

  • @Mzieltjahh

LOL you got a point there :DD

  • @destiny1can1find2you haha yeah me too what grade are you in? im in 6th and im the best baritone player in the whole begginner band i get close but then i get a blasty sound :(

  • @Gamegster

    I'm in 7th drade...I'm in advance though

  • @destiny1can1find2you Ya you may be in Advanced... but you need to learn how to spell first.

  • @Gamegster Tehe, sorry to burst your bubbles guys but i went to nationals in 8th grade and im top euphonium player in the freshman class across the state and NE :P (sorry for being a bit of a show off) but being the top in your begginer class, LOL i was the worst in mines on trumpet and euphonium :P you beat me there XD :D Good Job! -thumbs up- :D

  • @JPuppy115 thanks! :D practice makes perfect you know and im a real band geek and i practice almost everyday and i actually beat the best trumpet playerjust the other day on a really fast song XD just proves that anyone can play faster than a trumpet :) lol (sorry for my boasting i just get worked up when i talk about instuments goes to show im a band geek haha)

  • @Gamegster Hehe im a big one too XD it's me and that dang Bari sax player -glares at his spirit- XD Im heading to States for second chair in may =D you should like audition when your in High school! it's very fun yet competitive XD but with your amazing skills at beating a trumpet, then you'll have no troubles! good trumpet = woo good euphonium player = GOD :D

  • @JPuppy115 Starting on trumpet made higher notes easier for me to learn once I switched to euphonium, but my lower notes tended to sound muddy. I never understood why until I took a master class at this past summer's music camp at my choice college. Their tuba professor explained that when euphonium players that started on trumpet play crappy low notes, it's because we keep our lips too close together (due to learning on a smaller mouth piece). I half-way agree with you. Just high notes= easier.

  • @SunflowerShade Well, i started on trumpet and then switched to Euphonium and my low notes were perfect O= no lessons or anything O=

  • @JPuppy115 I'm sure they were. Please don't boast shamelessly; it's quite rude. I hope you'll excuse me for being a skeptic.

  • @SunflowerShade Im sorry, and it's fine, =P but you beat me at the high notes, i couldn't high a b flat till the start of 7th grade =PPP

  • @Gamegster *practice makes permanent, in the words of David Daws!!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they killllllllllllllllllin em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I went from baritone to euphonium. I have been playing for 4 years. I think that the euphonium is better than the baritone though. Anyhow great playing!

  • @TheReallRyanking i got to play the baritone for one year then euphonium the next honostly euphonium is better in my opinion

  • Nice!!!!

  • what's the purpose of a saxhorn?

  • très sympa votre son .

  • i play the baritone but is it hard to play the euphonium?

  • in my personal opinion the baritone feels like such a harsh instrument, the euphonium requires more feeling but they are essentially very similer though the euphonium requires more air

  • awesome job guys now if only i could do the on my cornet

  • i lost a £10 bet to my music teacher that euphoniums and baritones are the same thing. :(

  • i like the baritone on the right. nice valves.

  • That's definitely a Euphonium, buddy

  • they are the very same thing. tiny different sound. i'm very awaree. i just got a baritone that looks dead similar.

  • Baritones and Euphoniums have much different size(Baritone is smaller), and there is quite a sound difference. You apparently don't have a good ear

  • dude im not going to get in a fight with you about instruments. my friend and i play in band. i am a baritone and she is a euphorium, they are different, and they sound VERY SIMILAR. dont bother me with this smart ass attitude.

  • I play in band too, and I'll guarantee you that I know much more

    "smart ass attitude?"

BTW It's Euphonium. With an "n"

  • yooou are really annoying. talk about ass. forget the smart. just plain ass. you can "guarentee" all you want. but i could care less about you're opinion because i know i am right. but if you want to be a fag about it. then :)

  • Then.....? Try using a complete sentence. It's not hard.

And it's not an "opinion" It's a fact. You are just a moron

  • I need to get more solo sheet music for my baritone but it is almost impossible to find! Where did you get the Mario Theme?

  • in concert band. there are parts where baritones get the stage over the whole band.. in our concert season this year we have 3 baritone solos. like as a group but not just 1. you have to MOSTLY buy them.

  • no. euphoniums have four valves and are generally better instruments

  • There are three-valved Euphoniums, but they're kinda rare. My school has a three-valved Blessing Euphonium. Lovely thing.

  • Acually, Euphonium's can Range from 3 to 5 valves(Double Bell Euphoniums have 5). I have 2 euphoniums, one with 3 valves and one with 4, and I also have a Baritone, which has 3 of couse. But I believe your right when it comes to Euphonium's being better. :)

  • I'd also like to add that the difference between a Euphonium and a Baritone is not the number of valves that they have, its the BORE of each instrument. Baritones have a CYLINDRICAL bore that makes them sound closer to a Trombone. Euphoniums have a CONICAL bore that sounds closer to a Tuba. The only similarities between them is that they play in the same register and usually play the same part.

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 you do know that a baritone horn and a saxhorn are not always the same...

  • @SuperP51D Oh, I was reffering to the difference between a Baritone and Euphonium, but yes, I do know that a Baritone and a Saxhorn are not always the same.

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 And the size :p

However, they don't usually play the same part. There is one euphonium part, and 2 different baritone parts usually written. Therefore, there is a euphonium part, 1st Baritone, then 2nd Baritone. Sometimes the 1st Baritone part will be harder than the euphoinum part, but GENEARLLY speaking (not all the time) the euphonium part is the hardest and most "showy" of the 3 parts. That's how I look at it anyway, not sure if others agree?

  • @euphoniumtillidie I said usually not all the time! In my days as a Euphonium player I most of the time got Baritone B.C. What you said is true sometimes though. I own a Jupiter Baritone and an E.F Durrand Euphonium. I use the Euphonium in school.

  • @euphoniumtillidie I don't know if you played Euph in school, but we play advanced grade 6 pieces and Its either you get Euph or Baritone BC. Not a Euph and Baritone part that are different. Never seen that myelf?

  • @LtGerbal Never play a piece by Grainger?....Lincolnshire Posy? I got stuck playing the baritone part (in T.C.) while the other euph got to play the euphonium part, neither were similar almost the entire way through

  • @LtGerbal Try playing in a brass band then.

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 well euphoniums usually sound like a low register french horn and not much like a tuba...

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 hey dude i am a baritone player a euphonium is a just the fancy word a for baritone they are no different

  • @fuckpupppy They are different. Euphoniums have a deeper bore than baritones. In a brass band their would usually be 2 baritone parts and 1 euphonium part.

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 hey arent you the one who playd mario bros too?

  • @Detroitstyle Yah this vid and jackshoeys version inspired me!

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 thank you!!! ive been explaining that since the 7th grade...and my friends still dont get it. lol. and i feel like actual barritones typically read bass clef dont they? i meen...so do most euphs....but isnt it less common for barritones to play in treble...unless im confused.

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 You're about the first person I've seen on youtube that actually knows that. Thank you so much, I get tired of people saying it's the valves XD

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 Ahhh Thanks for clearing that up, i usually play marching Bb baritone for marching band and euphonium for concert :D

  • @MarioKartCollecter12 i have baritone with 4 valves the fourth plays low C and my band instucror says it is used for another note... i dont believe her

  • @Gamegster if you ever find yourself reading this, 4th valve does so much more than low c,

add 1st valve, bam Bflat. 2nd valve? okay, bam E natural. and so much more

  • @Gamegster the 4th valve can play many notes, c and f for example and you can play with combinations.

  • @Gamegster - anything you would use valves 1 and 3 for, you replace with 4. So the 4th valve = 1&3. I play a 4 valve tuba. It makes it easier to play quickly... And sounds better.

  • euphies!!!!

  • What on earth is a saxhorn?

  • they are close, very close, but subtle differences. Euphoniums have a bell diameter of about 10 in, give or take. baritones have a bell diameter of about 8in give or take. the bore of a baritone is cylindrical, whereas the euph is conical. the different bore gives the baritone a slightly bolder and brassier tone than the euph.

  • Not to mention the Baritone has a brighter tone, while the Euphonium is darker and sweeter.

  • @TheEuphoniumGuy YAY GO BARITONE XD im the only one in my District to have a Baritone horn O.O

  • I have two Euphoniums(both Yamaha YEP-321S :D)and a Tenor Tuba(a Cleveland King from 1968).

  • Lol mines was a military Horn.. :) it has the bell going out and it sounds perfect :)

  • what Euph. are you using? The Right instrument is definitely a euph...

  • Hey nice job! Sounded awesome even with the video quality

I was wondering where you got this music, whether you wrote it or found it somewhere, either way it's really cool and would like to have a copy of the sheet music

  • It was a little hard to hear exactly how good it was because of the sound quality, but it sounded good anyway so you must be super awesome in person

  • did u guys write that out or did u get the sheet music somewhere?

  • what exactly is a saxhorn?

  • The saxhorns form a family of seven instruments (although at one point ten different sizes seem to have existed). Designed for band use, they are pitched alternately in E-flat and B-flat, like the saxophone group. There was a parallel family built in F and C for orchestral use, but this seems to have died out :(

  • are they a brass instrument?

  • yes
