a board is a board...no differents only the style you choose to hit! long boards dont take as muchtime to breakin... you have to just get out there and do what you do, trick boards just dont feel right on hills or banks(to me).dont depend on conplete decks...add new equipment...the more you sk8 the hotter the moves...

Is there any difference between skateboard trucks and longboard trucks??

fundamental difference is the size.

But basic configuration is thesame featuring a base, kingpin, pivotpoint, bushings and a hanger.

There is however more difference in types of longboard trucks than in regular skateboard.

Longboard trucks may have different configuration regular skate trucks have standard setup but longboards can have reverse kingpin (Randal) or torsion (exkate) systems too. Just look it up on the net plenty to find even on Gravity's own site.
