have you cleaned out your fire box vac it out then set your p setting the higher your p setting the lower your heat is delivered to the box dont set it past p5 give that a try hope it helps

I have a Texas with the same setup & it very accurate call 1800 traeger

You probably need to change your " P setting" .There's a hole to, the right of the face plate right next to the red digital readout. Insert a paperclipinto the hole to depress the micro switch. The factory default is P2. I adjusted mine to P3. The temp.matches better.
