@caleorama thanks! btw, did you have previous knowledge of installing dry wall and lights? dry wall seems manageable for me but the lighting, wiring (basically all things electric) seem like daunting tasks.

RICH ASS!!! URRRGH!! >.< i sooo Want a Movie room! Im like a Movie freak bit time in my family. LOL First thing when i have a new room! Movie room!! At least ill try to make it look almost like yurhs. LOL
Hey I was wondering how long did it take you and what was the cost to build (Without the electronics like Xbox360+Ps3),I was thinking of having a theatre in my basement but my mom had different ideas, but anyway would you think it'd would be good to have a garage with the theatre above because that's what we were thinking about having on "our" house(The Garage, the theatre was my idea I thought up now)!
Very nice mate, but with out doubt you have no taste when it comes to colour! the blue colouts looks so horrible and the carpet. apart from that it looks mint! change the colout tho dude! go black or red or even better black and brown to match the seats ! :-)
Nice set up. My theater is finished now too. I must admit, I stole my Biometric lock idea from your theater. Check mine out if you get a chance, under my channel or go to Bryan's completed home theater. Again, great theater; you did a great job.
great job, you have my exact layout I'm planning as a HT room. Good job with the sound proofing as I have studied techniques and your application seems the best way to go. I'm sure it is in the comments but when you get a second anserw this, can you have an almost wisper conversation upstairs while watching movie at moderate levels? I understand the buttkickers make all the diff in perceived loudness. Thanks.
GODDAMIT! now THATS good equipment! only high end, isn't it? LOL. Beutyfull cinema, my friend, i'm starting something like this, but my budget is not yours, sadly :( .hehe, at firs i said "what a fool" with te fingerprint lock, but with all that in one room... have you thougt on a iris scanner and a key card? LOL good work man!
almost perfect, i strongly recommend a popcorn machine. It gives a more theatrical feeling. actually never mind. I'm not one to criticize. i don't even have one. because I'm just 16...
@ballinonabudget Nope, is the Theater even necessary? My 20 yo brother-in-law lives with us and I just wanted a way to easily control access without the need for a key.
nice theater all you need is an anamorphic lens and a 2:35:1 screen. That or the Panasonic pt 3000 or the 4000 with the zoom method to create the cinemascope
word's cannot express how jealous i am. that's a very nice setup you've got there. the only thing i would change is go the extra distance for a 9.2 surround sound system. other than that it's amazing.
Hey how big is the screen in this video i'm building a home theater in my room this one is awesome though! i just don't know what kind of a screen to get?
I dont know what your budget is, but ive been using a lot of Sony PX32's at work and they seem quite good in average light conditions. they are 3000 ansi lumen. however they are not a HD projector and are pretty old these days although you may be able to pick them up for a very good price.
very nice theater .......I see in your system setup description you have a polk audio psw12....is it sufficient enough for such a spacious theater? I believe it has a 100rms amp .
The biometric scanner is very tacky, in my opinion. No offense, but I'd feel like a tool putting my fingerprint on a door to unlock it for people wanting to come in and check it out.
On the flip side, your setup seems nice. I'd ditch the Polk sub. Actually I'd ditch all the Polk stuff for Klipsch, but that argument is like Pepsi to Coke.
I need your advice about the home theatre you got, I am planning to build mine soon, so some advice will help and might save some money too. First, I would like to congratulate about the great home theatre you got.
1. What is the room size of your home theatre?
2. What is your opinion about Yamaha A/V RX-Z11B?
3. Do I need to add power amplifier to my system?
4. Is it better to setup up the front speakers beyond the screen?
And are there any recommendations or general advices
that is ridiculous...definitely going to get a home cinema when i get a house. but do HD front projectors really produce images as bright and clear as HDTVs?
well.... you wont get the equal brightness as that of hdtvs with 15,000 or less projectors BUT!!!! you dont want that...... movies are not meant to be watched in full brightness have you notice that when you get your new t.v. it has various modes ...night,day,sport,vivid,cinema...etc. you will most likely want to ALWAYS choose cinema even if brightness goes way down. As for definition the best projector always beats the best t.v.
Hey man, I am gonna be starting a project like this one, and I was wondering, What is the brand and color of the paint that you used for your walls? And also, What type of paint did you use (like, flat, semi gloss, that type of stuff)? Thanks for your time..
Oh and the room looks really good man.. I hope i can get mine to even turn out to be half as good as yours.. lol...
thats cool man . nice set up. what is the list . is that a 12 foot screen. oh whats with the thumb print thing . cool i guess if you want to hide and watch a porno
wow!!! im suprised you can leave the house to make any more money,i would lock myself in there everyday haha, cool, what the hell do you do for a living?i love that biometric door lock, what they called so i can find one? :)
