  • I know that the white witch was only mentioned in the book but unless you watch the scene itself you really can't have a go at disney for including her. I mean it is personally for me the stand out scene of the film.

  • shut up you annoying person

  • Ohhh i'm sorry it's not me who wrote this Shit!!!..donow who used my account

I'm sure that tupid and silly people are every where Damnit!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry again !!

    Lamya !!!

  • Oh it's okay...

    Darn hackers, they're everywhere...

  • ive seen that movie last week its cool!

  • C.S. Lewis people authorized the Witch to come back, just research or google it and you'll see how it's more of an author's desire come true than a hollywood thing.... so the silly one here is you and your borring pre-historic minded edited video.

  • Mind you, C.S. Lewis' people isn't C.S. Lewis himself.

All they can do is probably gauge, but quite honestly, I do not think he would put her in... or the kissing scene of Susan and Caspian either.

  • Sorry, I need to add something to my last comment. You seriously need to stop acting like you are omniscient. Its annoying and your not.

Also, note that when you do people who actually read the literature behind the story will end up slapping you with a big slice of truth.

The White Witch is and always will be an amazing villain. Plus she is half Jinn, I am sure that even C.S. Lewis would agree she could find her own way back into life if she really wanted to.

  • THE WHITE WITCH ROX ALL OF OUR SOX.

    (but evil sucks).

  • I went to see the movie and the White Witch makes this movie better. The villains in this movie were weak. The White Witch was the biggest threat and made the movie more exciting.

If this is supposed to be based on religion, then isn't the idea that evil doesn't just go away? I guess no one has to fear Hell anymore if that's the case.

  • Well at least in the fictional world of Narnia apparently evil has ways of returning. The movie serious seems to be VERY losely based on things that happend through out the Bible. At least the first movie way. Most of the others I believe are almost entirely C. S. Lewis's work. There are 7 books total. I wonder if they will make that many movies???? It would be like the harry potter series.

  • @simple88869 The witch, as depicted in the film, is imprisoned and wants to be freed - has been for 1000 years plus as depicted, and was not freed, so she will be imprisoned for eternity...not sure how you got "no one has to fear" from that depiction.

  • o brother. get over it. Not only is Tilda making a swift cameo that should indeed be placed in the story, but she is a fantastic addition to any film!

  • I think is ok, the witch almost return, they put a little bit more of that, thats all,

  • The White Witch isn't going to really be in the movie. She's going to have a cameo and ALMOST come when Nikabrik, the Werewof, and the Hag summon her, but it's stopped before it can finish, so she doesn't come back.

  • I wish she would com back though...shes my favorite

  • Hey, you're wrong!

The witch dóes appear in the book, but Prince Caspian isn't there. The bad guy tries to wake the White Witch up because he wants her power.

  • oh wait, wrong book haha

  • Their doing what they did to Faramir. Both Caspian and Faramir made the decision to do right, but the movies have to externalize their dilema...somehow hollywood thinks that makes it better. For me, it just ruins characters....

  • Faramir? That was LotR and not Narnia! duh

  • what about Boromir?

  • he dies! :P

  • It wouldn't be that terrible if Caspian doesn't know she is evil. If he doesn't, it's not so bad. As long as it doesn't turn out stupid. It may turn out that he's down and out and not really thinking about what that would involve.

  • white witch is one of my favourite character lol

  • good editing. i agree that its a big change from the books but it does give it a little twist

  • Hah thanks for clearing this up - I was SURE I hadn't read anything about the witch in Prince Caspian, but I didn't want to have to go back and read it just to check that lol.

It is a bit odd that they stuck her in there, but I don't really mind as long as Caspian didn't agree to it, I suppose.

  • That's the main concern. Caspian going along with it is so against his character.

  • the director was doing us a favor showing how they tried to bring her back, i hate when books are changed in the movie script.Eragon for instance, but i think it is a good idea for Hollywood to show her.

  • im reading it now. nikabrik talks about how the witch was "kind" to the dwarves, and he wants to call on some one who would help them fight off king Miraz.the hag says"Call her up.we are all ready, draw the circle. Prepare the blue fire" they try to call her up, but thats when Peter and them come in.

  • What book are you reading? They never try to call her up. Caspian never even considers the idea

  • @GlumPhoenix Right - but they were planning to do so and that addition didn't really change the story for them to just take the extra step and attempt it. Caspian also never even considers it here - he doesn't know what they are doing until he sees her and then says "this is NOT what I wanted" - but then she kind of hyponitzes / tempts him and Peter in the film.

  • in the book they do try to bring back the white witch, which was unsuccesful, thank God!!

  • Why is everybody jumping to conclusions?

How do we know that the White Witch shown in the trailer isn't just a hallucination?

When I saw the long trailer, that's what I thought she was. Did you see the longer trailer? It took a longer look at that scene.

The Pevensie's could be haunted by the memory of her.

  • she's a spectre, the attempt to bring her back fails

  • Why is everybody jumping to conclusions?

How do we know that the White Witch shown in the trailer isn't just a halucination?

She could be. The pevensies could be haunted by the memory of her.

  • Some fans argue that the White Witch is dead and others argue in favor of her return in the form of the Lady of the Green Kirtle.

  • Very few fans are under the mistaken idea that the WW is the same as the LotGK. The ones that do have never given any evidence AT ALL from the books supporting such a claim. NONE AT ALL.

There is absolutley no reason to believe they are the same. It is simply absurd to believe they are. IF there is anyone out there who belies that, I challenge them to support their claim using quotes from the books.

  • They're just doing what the BBC mini-series did.

Many readers of the novel believe that it is implied that the Lady of the Green Kirtle (the enchantress of the Underworld in Book 6, "The Silver Chair") is the White Witch from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Magician's Nephew herself, who plagued Narnia for decades in the past. In some versions the Lady of Green Kirtle was referred to as the Emerald Witch.

  • Where is it implied? The same actress was hired in the BBC versions to play both parts for budgetary reasons. When they make the SC movie, they won't have this problem, so Tilda Swinton will not be returning.

The book says that they believe the LotGK is "one of the same crew" as the WW. If that's the best evidence that can be given for this case, then it's a very bad case.

The WW and the LotGK are two completely different characters.

  • Who the hell are you to say she is or isn't the spirit of C.S Lewis. It's all in the imagination of the readers.

  • Because I've read the books, and drawn opinions from it.

But come on now. If I say that drug use is not in the spirit of Lewis' books, are you seriously gonna say "who are you to say that?"

  • I'd rather the WW stay out, but until I see how it plays out in the movie I won't get too worried. I doubt they movie makers would have Caspian whole-heartedly bringing her back knowing she was evil. He must be at the end of his rope and without hope that Aslan or the Pevensies could do anything. It's not that big of a deal--yet.

  • or you know tricked about her

  • I still insist that he's not totally aware of how serious bring the White Witch back, but we'll have to see. You just KNOW Disney is putting her in all the trailers to create a fuss!

  • I think that's ridiculous. Have you seen the movie? If you haven't you DON'T know how it turns out! So until you see it don't say anything about it! It's offending to people like me.

  • Dude.....so what? They just go a little further in the movie than they did in the book. Considering that it still has Peter's fight with Miraz, I'd say both the addition and the re-editing matter not a bit.

  • "A little" further? In the book, all three of the people who want to bring back the Witch die within seconds if making the suggestion. Caspian and his companions were dead serious that they would not even consider doing such a wicked deed. In the movie, they are going A LOT further, and damaging Caspian's character as well.

  • alright, so i used a figure of speech. big deal....they still don't bring the witch back fully. If THAT was the case, then I'd be picketing with ya, but as is...

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
