@GooseyPooPoo Actually they're working on a system right now of doing this. It take s a inflatable slide and angles it just right where the wingsuit can land safely with no chute.
@GooseyPooPoo unfortunately the only wings (that are not paracutes) that can slow you enough are hang gliders. The wing suit actually can take away around 50km/h from the terminal velocity, so the fall with them is around 150km/h. And those suits are not made to slow you down, but just to give you more control during the fall and a more horizontal flight. ;)
It is going to be possible in the very near future. Wingsuits are getting better and a goal they have is to land without a parachute. They can turn their full surface into the wind and lose a large amount of speed - that is what they want to study and improve in order to land without a parachute. It's going to be possible.
@GooseyPooPoo - actually, it could be done with a ramp. But it should be really quite long (read "expensive"), and problem with boundary friction should be solved. Maybe Red Bull finance it in a future....

You can fly very close to the ground with 100% of your angular momentum facing forward. The wing suit provides enough lift to pull this off. The main issue is timing the stop and landing. Saw an even longer one on g4tv aost attack of the show was crazy came inches from trees several times I can't find the video tho. But I bet u could land on water if u came at the correct angle and landed on ur back and just slide for few thousand ft. I flee off a wave runner by turning too sharp at 70mph but I know how to land so I couldn't even feel the impact I just slid forever on my jacket long swim back tho
@TheJammerzz Probably indoor skydiving first so they get the hang of how the different orientations change the person's movement in the sky. Then an actual skydive with the wingsuit on.

u can not use those wings if you are not flying very fast (100km/h and more). slowing down will turn flying into a free fall
