it's taken me 3 weeks of not listening to this version and it's not so bad. It's great to hear it with music, there's some parts I'm not a fan of, but it's an artist's music based on his poem. It is different, yes. I'm not a "dirty old hippie", I was born 10 years too late to experience the Doors while Jim was alive, and had grown up looking at wall art every summer and listening to the oldies station w/my mom in the car. Someone who was an inspiration, its hard to stay open minded to new ideas
