  • cheered me up xx

  • Its actually a symphony

  • i fucking cry hearing this song

  • Jim envisioned a world of music making machines.., watch interviews. This may be what he wouldve come to if he had stayed around.

  • this doesnt correlate at all, robotic music is not natural at all, and it kills music.

  • donde puedo bajar la song?

  • @ilsielectro La puedes comprar en el disco de Satellite Party titulado 'Ultra Payloaded'.

  • good song

  • Jims final message would indeed be " Just try and stop us, we're going to love." Stop the petty fighting, and lets all be the best we can be...lets all keep rising...thats what Jimmy would want, wouldnt he?

  • Love it. I think the song works for today. Do you think JIM would be playing the same melodies over and over today?! Why do you think MJ, U2, Prince and even Madonna have lasted so long? They changed w/the times or created their own unique. I think Jim would've been grateful of the tribute.

  • Thank you Jim. Greetings from Argentina.

  • i love u jim!

  • THIS IS SHIT!!!!! IT DOES NOT SHOW THE TRUE JIM!!!!

  • perry farrel and jim are the best

  • it's taken me 3 weeks of not listening to this version and it's not so bad. It's great to hear it with music, there's some parts I'm not a fan of, but it's an artist's music based on his poem. It is different, yes. I'm not a "dirty old hippie", I was born 10 years too late to experience the Doors while Jim was alive, and had grown up looking at wall art every summer and listening to the oldies station w/my mom in the car. Someone who was an inspiration, its hard to stay open minded to new ideas

  • @JessyBee1313 THIS SONG IS BETTER THAN THE LOST RECORDINGS OF ELVIS THAT BECAME A NISSAN COMMERCIAL.... WHATS YOUR TRIP.????.. HEARING A DEAD MAN PUT TO MUSIC TOO BORING FOR YOU??? THIS IS AWESOME BABY...... JIM LIVES ON!!! GET IT NOW????

  • @solarboy64 dude why are you YELLING AT ME???? I changed my comment 3 weeks after hearing it. I love Jim's voice, with and without the music but sometimes the music drowns him out....that's what I didn't like about it...the music needs to be BEHIND him, his voice should be audible was all I was saying the first time. That and I'm not a fan of remixy electronica stuff

  • you should really open your minds, lousy old hippies. respect ;)

  • The background music sounds too remix-ish , fake and drown out his vocals to me. From what I can hear of him though it sounds great.

  • this is horrible! it dose not do justice to jim at all

  • i wish he were still alive and people lisened to him abought love ,peace ,and creativity

  • It's so much better without the music behind it.

Just Jim's voice. That's all you need with Jim's woman in the window.

The music they put behind it ruins it for me.

  • @MistyJm1976 it's good background music but the voice is better alone

  • @MistyJm1976 yes thats exactly what i was thinking!

  • I respectfully disagree

  • @MistyJm1976 look..... jim would have loved the tribute.....he told me in a dream. your faith to jim is well recieved.... he wrote this song on a 3 week bourbon sabbatical at the beach house in ventura.. ray manzarek was the executive producer on this cut... THIS IS AWESOME DUDE.... WHY DONT YOU GET IT??? DONT TRY TO STOP US....,WE'RE GOING TO LOVE!!!

  • AM I REALLY HEARING THIS? Damn, not 2 minutes ago I discovered for this first time in my life the clean version Morrison left recorded of this song, and I was blown away. Now I find that it's been given music. I thought I was gonna be sooooo pissed off for listening Jimbo with music from another band... but I wasn't. THIS IS A GIFT

  • I feel the exact same. This is amazing.

  • why do they have to corrupt this great poem with the corny synthesizers, it would be so much better if they actually used the same methods of sound effect creation as The Doors did.

  • you are living in the past, man

  • There are no Synthesizers in this, it's a 30 piece orchestra

  • @randomkiwi26 - cuz the point of art is to create new things, sometimes using old things in the mix aka sampling, instead of doing the same old shit over and over again.

  • @randomkiwi26 because if it didn't have synthesizers then they wouldn't have been lent the song

  • I like it, it´s kind of addictive. And it brings Morrison to our time. Cool.

  • ha i love that song morrison said!

  • really nice man...

  • ;-)

  • i dont exactly agree with what you said, but not much hype came off this song it seems like, wonder why...seems like everyone is eating up after-doors shit

  • hahahaha yeah

  • I love this song, Mr Mojorisin is still risin'

  • Effin' brilliant!

  • good tune

  • Thanks for helping Mojo make a final contribution Perry Farrell.Well Done. VRN

  • i hope people realize that perry, while he is different than jim morrison, is paying tribute to him. it's ridiculous for people to criticise this song. it's a celebration of morrison's words. it's sad that people want to bury jim's words in the 70's with his body. perry did what jim would have wanted.

  • I bet this was WAY more a bitch to do than most would think. Morrison and Perry are both in my Top 5 Heroes For My Sometimes Pathetic Existance so I will listen to it over and over while millions of people enjoy those disgusting Oreo cookies

  • they are the shit on milkshake

  • i luv what u said

  • Damn! Great song; tune at the end reminds me of the song 'A day in the life' by the Beatles, on the Pepper album. I love this song!

  • hmmm...the beats don't do justice to Jim's work. Can't say I like it.

  • does this remind anyone else of johnny cash's vocals in his later years?

  • LOVED IT THANKS

  • They took all the beauty out of the original (although rough) recording. Utterly awful.

  • Its like a goodbye song from Jim ...

    i like it..

  • Don't like this one.. I love the doors, but this.. it's too much 'new'.

  • does not compute.

  • beautiful music, i think they did a great job with this..

  • I like it, but I don't feel like this poem needs music on the background...

And I'm pissed off that I can't find the original version so that I can listen to it 24:7...

  • this song is so rad. who cares it doesn't sound like the doors, don't be so closed minded to a different sound ya wankers

  • should i listen to it again?it really doesn't make me want to.

  • of course it's not a jim sound, stupid...

it's satellite party, know the difference

  • ok, don't worry! :)

  • thanks for posting this. this song is beautiful

  • I think the music is awful (no offence) but I love "just try to stop us,we're going to love" made into a refrain...to me that's so beautiful! wish the three would get their shit together and do this song/poem justice...for Jim's sake.

  • Pretty cool tune.

Shout outs to Ron Bennington at the end.

  • Open your mind!!! Perry is a great artist, and Jim IS history, a great man in our Rock History!!!

  • The Out dated and Lame "Jungle" electro beat is so silly I can´t listen to this shit. Is there any way one can listen to Jim without this crap added to It? Please give me a break!!

  • shut up and listen and read if you need...it's enough

  • This is a fantastic track, which I have been playing out for the last few months ...

  • great!!!

  • Great observations there Einstein.

Would Mom really be proud to know that you think Jim Morrison, Ozzy, Zeppelin and Sabbath suck in their later days?

I'd forget applying for that Rolling Stone Job Dude.

First Lesson: Music Is Evolution - Good Or Bad

  • hmmm dont really know if your suffering from sarcasim, but please read my comment again...please!! maybe you might understand what I was trying to say....as for working for a mediocre mag like your rolling stone...forget it!! music is evolution...that was what i was saying!!

    regards

  • Long Live Jim but this shitty ass music sounds like Beck On Crack

  • sorry am bit late in replying to your comment, not critising, but asking you one question. Would Jim Morrison be a revolutionary with his music today?

  • My observation of all bands/artists/musicians that still exist from the sixty, seventies and eighties, sound stagnated in their later albums, is it because they have lost that drive to perfect their music?! be a creative force?! or is it they have found a formula that makes more money for them?!

  • sneeky is a dumbass

  • hmmm one example of a band from the late sixties, is led zeppelin, now dont know about you but but after houses of the holy their music sounds bland and boring!! had jimmy morrison lived, would his music have changed and kept on changing or are we creatures of habit and become lazy and boring!? another example and I hate to say it but one of my favs is ozzy osbourne, dead-set legend this man, but his last albums...hmmm questionable....

  • Jim Morrison is such a genius that that could have never happened to his music. And wasn't Led Zeppelin from the 70s.

  • they actually started in the sixties, there first two albums were released in 69, anyways six one half dozen the other.....and how do you know what would have happened to his music, hes dead!! I only stated an opinion like my arsehole i have one!!!

    regards

  • Have you read any of Jim's poetry? You can tell that he was infinitely talented.

  • dood he is a talented man....no doubt here bro!

  • would black sabbath have changed with him still as there frontman????? i guess one point im trying to make is Perry Ferrall from Jane's Addiction has constantly revolutionized music during the eighties and continued to do in the ninites even when they werent together, now he has a new project, a little older and wiser from his days (no pun intended) and fresh, a totally fresh sound and the guy has been around since the eighties with Jane's

  • this music sucks

  • another one with an opinion, fuck where do they come from, and its so articulated and all....such as! wheres your map muthafucker!!

  • who ever dosent agree with the music is bias...Perry wanted a French style beat..and well thats what we got..A lot of eruope rock has an industrial sound..nice job perry fucking farrell mayor of moedown 8...bitcheZ

  • this is from the Lost Tapes In Paris and it is great!

but this fucking song destroys the beautiful poem.

    this is a shit!

    RIP JIM

  • exactamundo.

  • Great voice by Jim Morrsion.

Terrible music. Shame on you Perry Farrel.

  • I like it without the music better

  • Holy shit... I couldn't stop that fast enough. They had BALLS to attempt to put music to Morrison's words... and they FUCKED IT UP.

  • I love me some Ron and Fez!

  • sounds like french rock n roll.fucking beautifull

  • aca la gente habla toda ingles... q mal!!..

    .. estoy fuera,,, estoy fuera!

  • love hearing lost jim morrison songs but i think this song is best with the bare vocals.kind of a naive track-i love it.

  • its nice to hear jims voice again

  • this song it's grate...listen the chords, it glorifies Jim Morrison (not like that shit of Steve Taylor - Jim Morrison Grave)...this song feels like Jim Morrison returned to our world. His voice in nowadays music...my god

  • The very first two lines are so haunting..what does he say? But what a fab line-"Just try and stop us..we're going to love!"

  • why didnt they use the rest of the doors for the song? i think they fuckt up here!! but jim is allways good.. Love him!!

  • Um... maybe the rest of the doors didn't have time/interest whatever it's good to hear Jim

  • this guy doesnt know what hes talking about he said jim morrison never sang with anybody but the doors lolol

  • What other band did he sing in?

  • He never sang in any other band. It was recorded in Paris with 2 French street musicians.

  • Oh, sorry, it was recorded 79 days before he went to Paris... It was Perry Farrel who put the instrumental parts.

  • I know I was seeing what line he would feed me about who else Morrison sang with

  • i love it

  • I thought this was well done... Totally dug it

  • This could have been alot better. Why did they have to put that club, discoee, electronic sound to it. It should have had a guitar instrumental lead instead. Maybe someone can rework it into sounding more relevant to Jim Morrison.

    He deserves better than this.

  • Wonderful. Hope you are all well!

  • I am unhappy, far from my woman...

  • It is a bit manky to say 'previously unreleased'. The poem in indeed released as part of the Lost Paris Tapes. Nevertheless, it sounds ok..

  • this voice ... ;([*] but I don't really like this song .. it's too .. easy ? like some POP :| I think Jimmy hates this version .. and that women-chorus !! Sic ! ;]

  • i i really like this version

  • This sounds like the one on The Lost Paris Tapes w\ music cut in. The Lost Paris one has more lyrics.

  • The leagcay continues

  • it doesn't sound like the doors, but it feels just great when we can listen this kind of hidden works, thanks jimmy

  • People may say they dont liek how perry used jims voice over this, but honestly i think jim would have liked this becuase they did stay true to his voice and didnt take it over with any hard core solos or nasty loud bass beats and atleast kanye west didnt sample it....they stayed true to jims voice and if u notice thats the reason why the beat stays at a lower volume than the voice.

  • How exactly did the guy get that interpretation of the song? Heavenly host? Solutionists? What? Also, I don't think Jimbo's songs should be used for the purpose of savage world domination. It's a shame. Just try and stop me, I'm going to hate.

  • hmm i was expecting more i guess

  • They could have done more with this vocal track imo, but it's just good to hear something new with Jim after all the years. Man, do I miss him...

  • how can you miss someone you never new....or were even born when he was alive haha sorry i love jim morrioson but i never knwe him cause i wasnt born =/ unfortunately of course i just think its funny you said that heh heh sorry xD

  • I miss his voice...

  • I love this!

  • Nice. They did a fine job putting that Morrison poem to music. I also recommend An American Prayer. Very good album of Jim's poems put to music by the original Door's members.

  • very true...An American Prayer is essential listening...

  • i really want this song, but i cant find it. :( i guess ill have to buy the cd

  • Wow, this is a whole complete song -- fascinating. I had heard it was just a fragment. The lyrics are very interesting, very different.

My preference would have been for the remaining Doors to work up the song -- Jim provided the melody and even a really nice bridge -- but hey, they didn't ask me :)

  • - There´s no one like Morrison.

  • Well anything Perry Ferrell touches is always slightly gay. Though Jane's Addiction and his current band Satellite Party still rocks.

But Morrison's got such a voice for reciting poetry.

  • So is the vocal here manipulated via pro tools or whatev or is Jim just fucking gone when he's singing this.

  • Jim Morrison live again

  • Awesome!! thanks so much for posting it, I've been waiting to hear it since I first read about it months ago. The arrangement has a bit of a "we are the world" sound , but I love it.

  • <3 <3 <3

    AWESOME!!!

    nice mantra

  • gay music

  • why are you looking this video then? and why did you left your stupid comment?! please if you dont like their music, dont insult it..

    the song is beautiful.period.

  • WOW I LOVE IT!!

  • grown on me for sure
