I remember sitting in the theater, excited about Quantum of Solace after having so thoroughly enjoyed the gritty reboot, Casino Royale. Then, "Another way to die" would start and my gleeful smile faded as I tilted my head to the side in disbelief and said to myself, "Really?? THAT'S what you came up with for me?".

I registered a YouTube account especially to post this, because the producer of this video is such a moron that nobody should waste their time watching it. He says that if you don't like the song "Goldfinger", you "have no right calling yourself a bond fan". But in another part of the video he refers to the film as "Goldenfinger". He calls Daniel Craig "David Craig". He calls Don Black (a significant figure in Bond music "John Black". He has no right to express his opinion on Bond music.

This is a fairly good ranking, though I will admit I do like The Living Daylights and For Your Eyes Only. However, I'm not really a fan of a lot of the newer themes, for a number of reasons. Tomorrow Never Dies is OK, not great. Die Another Day is just bad. I don't think I can say anything good about that one. Bond themes do follow the trend that music has followed, having certainly gone downhill in the last 20 years or so, with one exception (GoldenEye).

For Your Eyes Only is one of my favorite Bond films and I like the song too, but now that I think about it, it does lack the punch a Bond song should have. Beautiful melody nonetheless.

It's strange because I hated Quantum of Solace but "Another Way to die" is my favourite Bond title song ever. In conlusion - crappy movie, awesome song. There are just two reasons for me to watch this movie: 1. Another way to die. 2. Another way to die has a sinister sound to it and is modern, like Craigs version of Bond. It also has some classic bond guitar riffs. Alica Keys has a classy voice fitting of a Bond girl. I would put it in top 5.

To me, Tomorrow Never Dies had a sort of sexiness, a sort of calm elegant flow to it that said "this is a super spy movie. This is James Bond". Then again, Tomorrow Never Dies was my first Bond movie, and got me into the series, so I have that bias.

Totally agree 100% with everything you said about the Quantum of Solace and Die another Day theme songs. Personally I think the Madonna song is worst, but both of those songs are on another level of crap compared to every other Bond theme song ever made.

To me, it's hard to compare Bond themes across eras. Each one is specific to the movie and the era that it existed in. I agree with the Jack White/Alicia Keys pick. Other than that, there's not much difference between For Your Eyes Only, Nobody Does It Better, All Time High, and Moonraker. Any of those could have been here. It's all a matter of taste.
