  • the lyrics are deep, a true love poem set to music, and sang by the the man who is and will always be the face of Khmer music

  • sing to meee

  • I was never a sinn sisamouth fan because I didn't listen to his song or any other Cambodian song that much. But this song caught my heart. Also, I learned to analyze the lyrics and it's deep. Now, I'm a big fan of him.

  • piruos nass loork euy piruos nass loork euy!!

    long live sin si samouth!!

what, he was murdered by the unspeakably barbaric unspeakably mass-murderous khmer rouge?? d'ohh!!

ok ok, long live sin si samouth's music!!

  • There is a free software called Video2mp3 you can download and convert any you tube video into mp3 format. I used it for my Khmer songs collection.

  • where can i download this?? can seem to find it anywhere..

  • I listen to a lot of old Khmer songs and this is the first oldie that I hear piano music so prominently.

  • The beautifulness of his voice and song take you a different dimension of the world. I feel like I am in love again by this song!

  • Okey lovely song, but I need to where can i find those oldie tape ....

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 Thank you for posting this lovely tune Darren, THANKS!

  • Unbeatable voice. He is alway the king. Arti Rearch Somlearng Mears. Thanks

  • I find it disturbing that the new generation of Cambodian youth that grew up in Cambodia can't appreciate Sin Sisamouth's music. They would rather listen to all this new crap that wasn't even written or composed by Cambodians but plagiarized from other countries. I also noticed that most Cambodian youth that really appreciate his music are the ones that didn't grow up in Cambodia.

  • dapizang,

i believe that cambodian youth growin' up in cambodia aint appreciate samouth music bcoz they think everythin' non-cambodian is good & so they neglect 2 listen 2 his music & thus they miss the opportunity 2 realize how good 4 the cambodian soul his music is, & i believe that cambodian youth growin' up overseas appreciate his music bcoz they realize that no non-cambodian music can ever entertain & caress the cambodian soul as samouth's did, does, & always will.

  • @pkving I can not agree more with you and (dapizang) I've been in the states all of my life and am captivated by the music in this era. I have heard it as a young child but never really took an interest as I do now. I am at a lost as to why the youth in Cambodia is so obsessed with being "less Cambodian" while I am trying to maintain the Khmer in me. I suppose I have my own obsession, these musical lyricist of the past has a hold on my soul and I can not help but to give in. CHEERS!

  • baltikababy,

thank you. i'm glad you're captivated by the cambodian oldy music of the samouth era. assumin' you're young, you're another example of the general observation that most of the cambodian youth who appreciate the cambodian oldy music of the samouth era are the ones who grew up overseas. i'm happy 4 that.

  • Bonjour, c' est de mieux en mieux sin sisamuth.

  • This is a very SENTIMENTAL Song for anyone who fall in LOVE with a beautyful but OUT OF REACH,so I always sing the other way"KROR AUP TE KLEN MIN BAN KHEURNH KLOUN PROUS VEA NOV KNONG dop" Ha..Ha..Ha..

  • lovely song

  • this song is so beautiful. his voice melts my heart.

  • It is a classic indeed. What a voice and melody !!

  • classic Samouth 1972(?) with artist Nhek Dim's drawings.. back in the refugee camps in thailand 1980 one of the jokes i heard around the camp communal toilets came from the opening lyrics: "kra'op teh klenn min bann kheunh khluon"!

  • Timeless classic indeed. Can't fathom how awesome it would be to listen to his songs live in concert or at a "disco".

  • excellent .

  • sinn sisamouth is a fcking god

  • @hcronos

I agree! Sinn Sisamouth is really the KING of vocal.

Not just one style of song or one particular, tune but any tune, any rhythm, high notes, low notes, fast slow.

  • this is one of my favorite song I choose to sing

in class in H.S in the '70 in Battambang.

  • His songs are deep and romantic. xD

  • yeah yeah they are. in virtually all of his songs the words are put together beautifully like a poem.

he had all the attributes that make a singer excellent:

    - voice

    - singing technique

    - singing art

    - masterin' of the language

    - talent at writin' their own songs.

he should be declared by the cambodian government as a national treasure.

4 me i'll always have him in my soul. 4 us the generations b4 1975 he simply & emotionally represented everythin' that was good about cambodia.

  • Agree with you. he must be granted as Khmer national treasure.

  • (reply 2 lovecheasim)

    thank you.

  • I love this song so much that I will be having my uncle sing it for my wedding...*^_^*

  • Sinn Sisamouth is the best singer, I love his music. It's very meaningful to people that are in love. It help to understand the emotions of one that need help to find that someone in his or her life. May Khmer music and culture live on for Khmer kids future to comes.

  • The lyric quite so romantic .. No one can beat him .. the great man and the golden voice . You will be in Nirvana Sin Sisamouth . Thanks for sharring and great editing the video .

  • I first heard the modern rendition of this song. I never knew Sin Sisamouth sang the original. I have to tell you guys...the modern version is NOTHING COMPARED TO THIS ONE!!!

  • same here. first time i heard this song it was sang by hour lavy. then i heard samouth's original and i was very impressed. It was truly appropriate that he was awarded the title, The Golded Voice of Kampuchea

  • *Golden

  • Indeed, Sin Sisamuth has the greatest voice in Cambodia then and now (meaning that even the new artists cannot top him).

However, they contribute to Sin Sisamuth's memories by keeping his songs alive.

  • agree on both counts. 4 the 2nd, i wish people 2 not criticize or ridicule modern singers who sing sin si samouth songs 4 not bein' as good as him. currently no1 can be as good as him. yeah yeah by singing his songs they pay hommage 2 him and honor his memories.

  • ok ok, comparing 2 original & criticizing are ok i guess, but ridiculing isn't i believe.

  • ahjrouk, i can never help myself but laugh whenever ic your id. lol!! thanx. laughin' is beneficial 2 our health. lol!!

  • The more I listen to this sone, the more I enjoy it.

  • Don't you wish someone think of you the way the lyrics put together in this song. I would give anything for such love. It makes me so sad to think Sinn Sisamouth is gone and only his voice lalabying us for internity. Thank you so much for uploading this Darrenvkham you have a beautiful heart as Sinn has a beautiful voice.
