  • Hey Murray cod is awsome tating. Depends on the cook. Cod fillets. I will be there,. Jackaroo i envy you buddy . Good work

  • possibly the worst tasting fish right there..

  • @DanielllBriggs Mate I cant comment on the taste as it was safely returned to the water after less than a minute completely unharmed and I dont eat fish and always return the fish I catch. Just really love catching them...

  • @DanielllBriggs personally i love the taste of murray cod over most fish.

  • @DanielllBriggs Personally, I hope I never do taste a Murray Cod they are too important to be taking out of the rivers. Taste only lasts as long as a meal, but the memory of catching and releasing a cod cannot be forgotten.

  • gay music good cod!!!!!!

  • @trip7downunder Yeah mate it was gay but the original sound track had too much swearing and was pretty bad so I edited it with music but have put better music on it now.

  • great work getting him in especially with only 4lb line! (Y)

  • nice

  • i use cheese as bait, lol

  • what was he caught on??

  • Rod and reel

  • nice fish there mate, I live in wang And walk the banks down near bundalong & peechalba With some spinner-baits and i tell ya what. theres nothin like a good days fishing. keep up the good work mate. but also may i reccomend. its not essensial but, try using a baitcaster rod, makes it all a heck of a lot easier. Any way GO TEAM BASSMAN! Good to see videos comin out of local parts. sorry im a bit random. :)

  • Hi studog I generally do use a baitcaster rod and mostly use Spinnerbaits or hard bodies, but this day was as hot as and we were hiding in the shade. I decided to bait fish for yellas with fresh Shrimp when this baby hit so it really was an accident but one that Im claiming LOL it was hard work playing him considering the 4lb mono and the 3-5kg Berkley Enticer Graphite Rod. I work at BCF Shepparton If your ever in come and have a chat I'm always up for a one...

  • Great Catch, and handing:)Long live the green fish!

    Alan.

  • Thanks Alan it was an even better experience safely returning him to the water.

And yes Long live the Goodoo......

  • if u pick up a cod of around 80 cm by the gills and releas it will it survive

  • Please read below for your information..

  • Thanks Mark it was a great experience getting him but was even better safely returning him to the water.

  • Mate good fish and even better on such light tackle as well give yourself a pat on the back for putting him back.

  • Thanks mate was a great experience getting him to the boat considering the 4lb mono and the 3-5kg Berkley Enticer Graphite Rod.....

  • very nice murray cod

  • To BOGNOEL who reckons I picked it up by the gills I never did I supported the fish using the compfort lift at no stage was this fish harmed and was safely returned to the water after less than a minute completely unharmed. As for catching it out of season yes it was out of season but as previously mentioned was safely returned to the water after less than a minute completely unharmed and those people who know me know all too well that I dont eat fish and always return the fish I catch.
