This is probably my favorite track on the CD. The Mr. President cue really tears me up and brings back all the great memories I have attached to this film.
@AllenbysEyes. Fully agree with you. Goldsmith's writing in the quiet, reflective scenes or the dialogue scenes in The Wind & The Lion is very moving and very luminous. I also love the music under Raisuli's telling of how he escaped imprisonment to Candice Bergin and his men. 'True Feelings/Guests of the Raisuli' is another wondeful example.
ScoreTracker, I bought this expanded release of 'The Wind & The Lion' before Christmas and it's genuinely spectacular. I'd forgotten how great the score is. The movie is rarely shown on Irish/British TV. 'Times Remembered' is one of the highlights of the previously unreleased cues.
The man was a musical genius, and I grieved when he died. This is one of many great pieces composed during an illustrative career.
