@lkiller123 that would be suicide. the 1000hp M5 wouldn´t even keep up with a Koenigsegg CCR (806hp). the Koenigsegg weighs half a ton less (1180kg), doesn´t have to deal with turbo lag issues, doesn´t have much of traction issues as the engine is in the back (weight distribution allows far more traction/faster low end acceleration). not to mention the Koenigsegg´s aerodynamics are like of a blade while that M5 is like a wall fighting against the wind

The M3 is tuned, but the e34 probably could have 1000 hp. Once the turbos kicked in, it picked up. My mechanic has a fully built a twin turbo e34 m5 and he is just shy of 1000.

His B7 turbo swapped e30 is fast but it can't keep up with his e34.

in the other hand big engines are more reliable and make easy hp and plenty of torque with easy effort the engine life span can go more than 20 years
